La fuerza de estos amortiguadores es muy grande, recomiendo mucho cuidado al instalarlos, mi maletero (Mazda MX5 2006) es muy ligero, por lo que siempre procuro abrir y cerrar con cuidado; sin embargo, les tengo mucha confianza, ya que siguen funcionando igual que al comprarlos, lo único que hago es limpiar el polvo hacia afuera del sistema del pistón.

We had been driving around our fun little Miata for months with failed trunk struts--like all struts they just got old and lost pressure allowing the lid to simply drop. Unfortunately one day, due to a moment of inattention, the trunk lid fell closed and barely missed some fingers. So, CLEARLY, it was time to replace the struts. We ordered these. They were inexpensive, arrived quickly, and took about 8 minutes to install. When the 8 minutes were done my wife and I looked at each other and wondered why on earth it look it took us so long! Highly recommended.

These were for my 2006 MX5 GT. These are about 1/2" longer than OEM so even with trunk wide open I could not connect both ends. Had to remove hinge complete and do a compression on the strut and put it together. Works ok after reinstalling hinge assembly as a complete unit. Also much stronger than OEM so I only replaced one for now.

The trunk lift struts for my 2009 Miata barely held the trunk up anymore. These were an exact drop in replacement and now my trunk lid works like new.They were extremely easy to install. To remove the old struts just use a small flat blade screwdriver to left the spring clip a little while pulling the strut to get it off the ball mount. Repeat for the other end of the strut. Reverse the procedure for the new strut. Do the second side.I made the mistake of taking the clips all the way off which was not necessary after getting a closer look.For a very reasonable price you will realize just how bad your old struts have gotten and how much better getting into your trunk will be.
