Seems to be high quality. Installed both struts, but a single strut was strong enough to support the hood. Installed in less than 5 min.

I didn’t realize these were that easy to replace. For several years we were holding our hood up with a stick and now we're totally hands free. The original shocks were cruddy so if you're doubting this purchase just do it. They come with a 3 yr warranty and theyre extremely afforable, took less than 5 min to install. All you need is a flat head and you're all good to go.

This was too easy to install. It took less than 1 minute per side and I did it ONE HANDED! All it takes is a flat head screw driver. Hold hood up with one hand, pop clips on old struts with screw driver andcremove. Pop on new replacement struts.I used a 2x2 piece of wood to hold the hood up when needed for the past year because I was putting off installing new struts. Once I figured out how easy it was I bought these replacements right away. These hold the hood up strongly and give enough the last 6 inches of closing the hood to let the hood fall to "fully closed" position. All-in-all money well spent and a super easy DIY fix.

Simple installation..took less than 5 minutes. Would highly recommend someone holding the hood up while you are changing out the struts. Youtube videos out there were really helpful. Just need a flathead screwdriver to lift up the clip and then pop off the worn-out strut. Removed the top of the strut first then the bottom and then installed from the bottom to the top. Followed this based on Youtube video and worked like a charm. Also replaced trunk struts as well. Did the same as above. Now I don't have to worry about the trunk falling on my head or trying to hold it up when putting large things in the trunk.

I've only had these in place for a few days on my 2009 Infiniti G37S convertible, but I'm thrilled with them so far. It makes you feel like a pauper when you take your car to be serviced and the hood doesn't even stay up. I used a different brand for the trunk, whose lifters had the same exact issue. That was just because I couldn't easily find the right BOXI supports for my car - convertibles need different ones. They're incredibly easy to put on, and really inexpensive. The Infiniti dealership in Glendale where I bought the car would have charged me HUNDREDS in parts and labor. Very nice, thanks.
