These do work to keep my 2004 Cadillac CTS trunk from slamming but considering they are premium, they don't allow for my trunk to open up on it's own when pushing the trunk release button, as it used to be when new. It unlocks just fine but doesn't lift. I have to manually lift the trunk up. Good thing though is it no longer slams as when my old struts gave out.

Item was about 1/4” too long. I forced it to compress to install it, however my trunk wouldn’t close.

Did it l exactly what I needed it to do. Replaced worn out trunk shocks on my CTS great quality for the price. Will see how long they will last, but at this price, I’m only hoping to get a year or two out of them.

Worked better than the previous ones I bought and we're cheaper! Raised and lowered the trunk smoother also. Great price and great product. Time will tell how long they'll last but so far in this TX summer heat. They're great!
