I got an replaced my old ones with these very quickly! They seem stable and work well with my 2011 Toyota Venza's powered liftgate just as it was described. Will update in the future.

FIrst pair of Stabilus Lift-O-Mat for Toyota Venza was used as OEM part by Toyota and failed after 5 years after I bought the car new. So they failed to open the Tailgate completely I mean they started to open suddenly only 70%. I started to hit my head so I replaced them with same brand same model OEM part. Guess what, after 5 years of usage of these new ones same failure happened. This means same parts manufactured 5 years later failed the same way. Stay away from this brand , German brand and German design but made in Mexico!!! I will complain to Stabilus too for them to know how their products fail.I complained to Stabilus too, no response after many months...so sad!

These gas springs are excellent. Perfect fit, and after watching an online video or two, installation required less than 10 minutes using only a flat blade screwdriver. But use care, these are STRONG, don't let that lift gate get away from you, easy does it. Will purchase again in another ten years. or for other vehicles.

This product was exactly what I needed for my Toyota liftback. I was able to install them as per instructions and so far they are performing just like the originals. At first I was uncertain they would fit my vehicle, but my questions were answered adequately. Thanks for saving me a ton of money.
