After many years of service, my original Brother drum finally reached its useful life. I then undertook some shopping for non-Brother replacement drums, including reading reviews and comparing prices. I ultimately decide on this product. I placed the order and everything went smoothly from there. I received the product very quickly. It was well-packaged and easy to install. It fit perfectly in my machine and worked properly right from the start. The copies following installation were perfect. All in all, I am happy with this purchase.

after use of only 2 months around 500 pages, all prints are faded. I tried with new tonner as well but has same issue.

Prints are barely usable, I've turned the density all the way up and bold lines are readable but anything else is faint. Thing was packaged well and looked unused. Will probably get a brother original here if I can find one on sale. I'm using it with 3rd party toners and I don't think that's the problem I have those working fine in other brother printers with the brother original drums.

We're very happy with this purchase. The drum unit was quick and easy to install in our Brother DCP-L2550DW, and it works like a charm!We were getting a 'replace drum' message, and the original drum unit was creating dark black lines on the right edge of printed sheets. After we installed this new drum, the sheets were perfect, no more black lines.It was a reassuringly nice touch that the day before we received it, we got an email from the seller, as follows:"Thank you for your support of our products.This is a letter about after-sales service. Changed the drum, toner has 50% life. When I copy something is barely is readable very light greytones. When printing the documents they print in greytones as well. Not a good product, unless I have a dud.

This product fits my printer as stated, but it prints like there is low toner. Very disappointing and I am now having to shop for another new one, unless these guys send me another one FOC. But I doubt it

UPDATE: THE COMPANY CONTACTED ME DIRECTLY. DESPITE AMAZON'S UNWILLINGNESS TO TALK THE COMPANY WANTED TO MAKE RIGHT ON THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.THEY OFFERED TO SEND ME A NEW DRUM AND NOW I AM SEEING BLACK COME OUT OF MY PRINTER ONCE AGAIN.My printer started telling me the drum was low and close to needing replaced. So I ordered this unit. However, the printer kept going and I did not actually need to replace the drum immediately. So, a month later when I did replace it, the new drum is not printing well. The print is very light and adjusting the settings is not helping the problem. I assume the drum is the issue as it printed fine before the drum replacement. Anyway, I am now outside of the return window and Amazon won't even talk to you if you are outside of the return window. Crummy service on something like a printer drum. I don't think it is too unusual to purchase ahead of need. Sucks to get stuck with a defective product. I will search out a better retailer for future purchases.

UPDATE: Seller reached out and stated they are improytheir quality control measures and offered an Amazon gift card for the purchase price to make it right!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this printer drum as a replacement for the original drum that came with my home office printer. I print about 1 ream of paper each month. The printer is 3 years old. This “compatible” replacement lasted about 3 weeks so I requested and received an exchange hoping it was a one-off. Well, the 2nd one lasted just over a month. Keep in mind that this is the DRUM unit not the toner cartridge. My toner cartridge has lasted longer than the 2 drum units combined. Since the window to return the 2nd one has closed, I cannot get a refund. I was hopeful but this is not a good product. Pay more and get the manufacturer product.

Got this product for way less money and it fits. Now how long will it last for number of copies? Time will tell but all seems great so far.tks for askingrick
