The alkaline filter improves the pH value of the RO water which could be slightly acid after the reverse osmosis process. It also gives back healthy minerals such as ionized calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium ion, which were taken away during the water purifying process. This filter is capable of increasing the pH value of the RO water by 0. 5 to 1. 2, which helps minimize the fluctuations of your body's pH. Llevo varios años con esta marca de filtros y no defrauda . El cartucho de filtro iSpring FA15 ha sido una gran mejora para mi sistema de filtración de agua. Se nota la diferencia en el sabor, eliminando cualquier rastro de cloro y dando un agua más fresca y limpia.La instalación es sencilla y el rendimiento es excelente. So i had given up on my RO because my stomach couldn't handle the acidic water ( Id earlier tried this alkaline filter as well ) after a year or so of drinking bottled water, i came back to the RO again, bought a couple of these as well thinking maybe Ill try it again.. but nope, my stomach and throat feel the acidic water..and if i drink it fpr a full day even upsets my stomach.. I used PH measuring strips to measure the PH and it shows between 5 and 6 AFTER this supposed alkaline filter..In short if youre really concerned about alkalinity, save your money..this filter is not it..

Forget those TDS naysayers, we are here today to discuss alkalinity and ph. I am happy to report that this filter does exactly what it claims to do. Photo results on the right show RO water BEFORE the alkaline filter (note acidity and low ph); results on the left show RO water AFTER the alkaline filter. If you have stomach issues and need an alkaline diet, this will help!

I finally got around to using these filters in my iSpring Water System. Unfortunately, these filters do not have the screw in attachments installed and do not work well with the system unless you have the attachments. I asked iSpring for the attachments and they no longer manufacture them for these older filters. iSpring sent me the newer type Alkaline and Post Carbon filters that easily install - for no charge. Sean at iSpring was a pleasure to deal with and really demonstrated through his professionalism and responsiveness that the iSpring Company is here to stay and takes care of their customers. Water goes in, and then it comes out the other end and tastes better...I guess it does as it claims since I have no means of testing. I wanted to try a higher alkalinity water to see if it would help my acid reflux but sadly I don't really think it's working. But the water definatly tastes better so I'll give it 5 stars

This filter gives an horrible after taste, tastes like plastic and not pleasant. Have wanted a few weeks to see if it goes away and run many liters of water through it but no improvement.

2011年の震災と原発事故で放射性物質が水道水に含まれていたということがあって、放射性物質も除去することができる逆浸透膜浄水器を自宅に導入し、その性能の高さとコスパの良さから今でも現役で活躍しています。フィルターは毎年交換し、各種部品も都度交換をしていってDIYで楽しみながらもペットボトル水を買うこと無く使っています。国内の通販サイトで流通・入手できるフィルタには、1〜3段目のフィルタ、4段目のROフィルターと5段目のポストカーボンフィルターが大半ですが、6段目のアルカリフィルターはあまり見かけません。本品はその6段目のアルカリフィルターに該当するわけですが、実際の取り付けや使用感に問題はなく、フィルタ無しにくらべてまろやかさが増します。（ちなみに１〜３段目のフィルタを通すだけでも国内メーカーの浄水器以上の性能を得ることができます）フィルタは概ね1年で交換することが目安となっています。濾過された純度の非常に高い水が通過する為、水垢や鉄さびによって黒赤に変色することがなく、ずっと使ってても大丈夫かも？と錯覚しますが総合的には交換したほうが良さそうです。装着前は必ず水道水などで10分程度水を通しておくと良いです。TDSメーターで不純物の測定をすると、4段目のROフィルター直後は0〜2ppmですが、5段目6段目とフィルタを通し3〜6ppmになります。非常に純度の高い水を得られることができます。ちなみに水道水が約180〜240ppm、ペットボトル水数種類試しましたがいずれも20〜50ppmとなります。当然、数値が高ければ不純物が多いことになりますが、日本の水道水の品質基準は世界でも屈指の高さでそのまま飲んでも大丈夫なほどですので、目くじら立てる必要は何らありません。ただ、逆浸透膜浄水器および本フィルターを通した後で精製された水によって炊く御飯やコーヒーは、水道水でつくったそれとは明らかに違い、本来のおいしさを得られます。水道水でも不味くは無いですが、さらにその上を行く、といったほうが適切でしょうか。今後も継続して使っていきたいと思います。注文をすると米国からの海外配送となり、2週間程度待たされますのでご注意を。

I use these as a post filter/alkalizer in line with my RO system for the output since I had to bypass the end filter to install a permeate pump (which dramatically improves water pressure). It doesn't add much minerals to the water as the water before is about 6-11 ppm and the water after is about 10-16 ppm, but it tastes slightly better than the water directly in the tank. The only complaint I would have is the last one I installed leaked until I wrapped Teflon tape around the one end to make the quick-connect adapter fit tighter.

I like this cartrigeCette cartouche a minéraux, c'est un plus !!!Un an plus tard la cartouche est comme neuve encore. Le ph est un peu moins acide 7 à 7.5Les minéraux sont seulement 10 ppm de plus. Normal ou non ? Cela me semble peu comme ajout.J'ai changer ma satisfaction de 5 à 3 pour cette raison.

I use a sediment cartridge, carbon cartridge, ro membrane and dionizer resin bed filter with this Alkaline and mineral filter and its been working great. I use the rodi system for my reef tank, but since rodi water is essentially stripped of everything bad and good things, I could not use it for drinking purposes, so I bought this filter to remineralize the water and it did. the rodi water had 0.01 tds, and after running it through the alkaline filter, it went up to 0.14 which means I have minerals again essential minerals. The Ph was already pretty good at 7.6-7.8 but after running it through the alkaline filter it went up to 8.8-9.0, and as you may or may not know alkaline water is great for you as apposed to acidic water, and since your body is made up of mostly water it makes sense, anyway iam rambling here, so to wrap up I am very happy with the results.
