The A-Premium rear left tailgate power lift support shock strut was a perfect fit for my 2018 Toyota Rav 4. It was an easy installation and I’m very satisfied with this replacement. Highly recommend.

I ordered this part for my Toyota RAV4. It was as close to an exact match as possible. It was easy to install, took about 50 minutes, would have been less if I was a mechanic and knew what I was doing. Just guessing but doing it myself saved me close to $400 in labour.

We have a 2015 rav4 and the hatch lifts had gotten to where it rendered the hatch inaccessible. I considered oem replacements but the price scared me away. These were cost effective to the point that I could afford to take a chance and return them if needed. I installed them today in about an hour and they work perfectly.A couple of things:1-they come with one bracket not snapped onto the lift. This is by design and should not be snapped to the lift until both brackets are attached to the car and the hatch2-you will likely need to push the hatch closed to help it recalibrate. But once you do this helps it find home and they should then work perfectly.

The product advertisement says this is made in USA but the delivered product was made in CHINA. The product wasn't in good quality. Anyway I got it fixed through a mechanic. It started giving problems and finally got disconnected from bolt joint, damaged the hatchback door. I tried to contact Amazon for a replacement but says not returnable. Not only I wasted $182.00 damaged the hatchback door due to this poor quality product.

I purchased this product and 5 weeks later, it breaks. It’s stuck between my hatch and now I can’t open my trunk. If I try and open, it pitches more.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because the cable was about 1-2 inches short and I had to rip the plug out of its holder so their plug would reach. Compared to the factory lift, the little round balls that this pivots on are larger and hopefully won't break, which is why I had to order this replacement. By the way the dealer wanted over $800 to fix this. Not difficult to replace on your own, there's even a youtube video that will fill in the blanks.
