use these as burner drives to cache data as it's being written... they can handle writes and reads very well without breaking down... had one used for cache for over a decade and still going strong... stocked up on these when i found them for my lab.These are not the fastest, or highest capacity... but they do their job reliably...Have had multiple other drives fail with casual use (both HDD -2.5 and 3.55 from seagate, WD... and SSDs from Samsung) while the 500gb Toshiba kept spinning with terabytes worth of writes per month, over years.

so far they are working fine, one had a dent in its case from mishandling at some point. it still formatted fine , i will not 100% trust it for a few months so as i move and copy stuff ill need to keep the old files as backup until then. The two drives each shipped in their own bubble rap envelopes so not a lot of protection. I sometimes order cat food and they ship it often in a box with bubble fill but the hard drives don't really need that level of packing i guess? You know, My cats would freak if their food became dented..... The drives are a good deal, ill be buying more.

Purchased hard drive to replace SSD drive since it was occasionally failing and locking up. This HD works great, no issues so far.

Although the title of the product says its a 1tb drive these are in fact 500gb drives be warned these are not 1TB!

This hard drive was just what I needed to fix a Magnavox DVR. It slotted right in and was easy to format in the Magnavox standard. It is working very well.
