I purchased 2 of these 19 months ago. They are supposed to have a 5 year warranty. They have both failed prematurely and as they were apparently manufactured in 2016, WD will not honor the warranty. The best price isn't always the best deal.

Date of manufacture is 2015. I bought in 2024 not sure why they are selling these old drives. WD denied warranty claim as warranty expired in 2021 for these drives. Drive died a month after purchase. Do not buy.

I love Western Digital's products, and this harddisk dont push the quality down, really an fantastic product, and I aint finished with using products from Western Digital, I use the harddiscs mostely for my NAS (Netgear Readynas RN516) fast stabil unit and with Western Digital things get done fast, thanks!

This is not new product. Its not even refurbishedSold as new but far from it . Came in a box that says new but the drives are dusty and scatched ,sticker are comming off.For all i know these ave years of use.

Errors right away. Sent back for warranty replacement And had to pay for shipping. Then received a bill for shipping to me after already having paid shipping for when I first got it.

This drive is supposed to carry 5 years warranty, but we I entered the serial number from WD site. It does not have any warranty. Will never buy from this seller again. BEAWARE!!

Great reliable drives - currency have 4 running raid 5 for capacity and speed. (Not the quietist drives ;-) I buy them as they are server rated, and have a 5 year warranty from WD - Should they become required, advance replacements are available.NOTE that the last drive supplied and fulfilled by AMAZON UK, shows as an OUT OF REGION drive when registering for the 5 year warranty on the WD Support Site. (i.e. it was intended for sale in a region other than the UK) -Having called WD, they will change the warranty status for up to 5 'Out of Region' drives per customer, per year - But you have to call them, set up a 'case' and emailed them your invoice. (The UK support number is 00800 27549338)What a totally unnecessary palaver....
