I got this primarily to test the soil and moisture conditions for house plants and some outside tress & shrubs. Generally, the light and moisture options seem to work okay. However, the ph meter is terrible. It barely moves off of the top of the alkaline scale (8). It doesn't matter where in the yard I use it, even on soil around some 25-30' tall cedars that have been around for decades. Obviously the ph meter doesn't work, so I will look for another ph meter that works.

The PH doesn’t seem to be working properly because everything tested is 7-8 PH. As PH was my primary reason for the purchase I can’t give a positive review. Be careful as most of the units available at this price by different brands are the same unit in a different color or shell.

I needed to know if my grass needed more or less dolomite based on its PH level and moisture. This meter told me immediately. Nothing to do to use it other than to just stick it in the ground. The meter registers clearly the PH and moisture.

My expectations weren't high, but this product exceeded them. It's pretty much as easy as stick it in the ground and read the meter. There's no problem instantly adjusting as we moved around and between gardens. The vegetable garden is doing better now that we're watering enough but not too much.

Worked for 3 tests (moisture), and that’s it. Followed all the instructions, cleaned the probes as needed and it stopped working anyways after 3 tests. Put it in an almost bone dry sample and it read middle of the scale. Put it in a drenched sample and it still gave the same reading. The light meter never seemed accurate to begin with. The pH meter was also very questionable. Tested with the meter and then with litmus paper and the results didn’t match. I expected this kind of quality product for the price, so it lived up to my expectations. Don’t bother. Buy tests that are made individually for what ever your checking pH/moisture/light a meter that says it can do all 3 is too good to be true at this price.

The product is easy to use and install. Just plug it into the soil you're keeping an eye on and you're off to the races. It does not require a battery which is nice, but because it is a small dial it is a little difficult to get an accurate reading. I'm not looking for perfection though, and if you're just looking for a rough pH reading, and something to remind you when it's time to water this is a good product.

I purchased this to use in my garden and household plants. The moisture metre works perfect. Handy chart on the box is helpful. Light meter works outside but I'm not sure if it's working inside, as my living room plants did not provide daylight reading on this metre. The PH metre did nothing. Not sure if there's a trick to it. But I tried it outside in my garden soil and then tested again in my indoor plant pots - Nothing on the metre. IF I'm doing it wrong please let me know as I'd like to use this product for it's full intended purpose.

The moisture dial doesn't move at all, even in freshly watered soil it reads as 1. This is the second Dr. Meter brand one i have purchased that just doesn't work. DONT BUY THIS

When I first purchased the product it was faulty and in no working condition. I left a review saying I wish I have read the previous reviews made by others.Since then, the seller contacted me, I have to admit they did their best, beyond what someone would imagine, sending emails, reminders, checking up with delivery and satisfaction.Yes, I was asked to remove my review but not asked to re-write one, I'm doing this on my own will.Lesson learned, if you get a faulty product contact the seller they are very responsive.Thanks,
