About this item

  • Essential Tool for Gardeners and Farmers: This meter is an indispensable tool for anyone involved in gardening or farming. It helps monitor and adjust soil conditions, ensuring optimal plant growth and productivity. The package includes one Soil pH meter, making it a valuable addition to any gardener's toolkit.
  • Comprehensive Soil Analysis for Optimal Plant Health: The 2-in-1 High Precision Fertile Soil pH Tester Meter offers dual functionality, measuring both soil pH and fertility levels. This tool ensures you can accurately assess whether your soil is acidic or alkaline, crucial for growing flowers, vegetables, gardens, home potted plants, lawns, and farms.
  • User-Friendly Design for Accurate Results: Designed with simplicity in mind, this tester requires minimal preparation. Simply pull up about 5cm of soil to a depth of 13cm, clear organic impurities like leaves and roots, saturate the soil with water until slimy, and insert the probe into the soil for precise readings. The compact size (Approx. 18x6x3cm/ 7.1x2.4x1.2 in) makes it easy to handle.
  • Actionable Insights for Soil Management: If the test shows "Too little" fertility, consider spreading fertilizer and watering crops to integrate nutrients. For "Ideal" results, maintain regular monthly fertilization combined with watering. If "Too much" fertility is indicated, focus on watering and transplanting plants to new soil as needed, especially in greenhouses where excess nutrients can be diluted with frequent watering.
  • Efficient Testing Process for Time-Saving: Switch between "pH" and "FERTILIZER" modes using the instrument's button. Clear the probe after each use to ensure accurate results. Read the test result one minute later for immediate insights into your soil's condition, helping you manage fertilization effectively.

How to determine soil pH:

Before planting, try to collect soil from different locations on the land for analysis to ensure that the soil samples taken are representative and analyze whether the pH of the soil meets the pH requirements of the crop.

  • 1. First remove about 5 cm of the top soil to be tested; then mash the soil down to a depth of 13 cm. And clean up all organic impurities in the soil that will affect the test results, such as leaves, roots, etc.
  • 2. Soak the soil with water and turn it into mud. (Use rainwater or distilled water)
  • 3. Set the function key to the right position.
  • 4. Wet the probe. Wipe the right one of the three probes with a cleaning pad.
  • 5. Insert the probe completely into the tested soil.
  • 6. Wait for 1 minute to read the data.
  • 7. After the test, wipe the probe and dry it. 8. If you need to continue to analyze other soils, please repeat the above steps.

How to analyze soil fertility:

Fertile soil is a necessary condition for a good crop harvest. Animal and plant residues contain a large amount of organic matter and humus in the soil. The fertile soil has a good structure, the soil quality is neither loose, nor sticky, has good water permeability, and its pH value is suitable for plant growth, and it is rich in a large number of elements (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) and micronutrient elements (boron) required for plant growth. , Copper, iron, sulfur, magnesium, molybdenum, etc.).

  • 1. First remove the topsoil about 5 cm; then mash the soil down to a depth of 13 cm. And clean up all organic impurities in the soil that will affect the test results, such as leaves, roots, etc.
  • 2. Soak the soil with water and mix thoroughly to form a muddy shape. (Use rainwater or distilled water).
  • 3. Wipe the probe clean with a clean cotton or paper towel.
  • 4. Move the function key to the first gear from the left.
  • 5. Insert the probe into the tested soil until the distance between the soil and the body does not exceed 2.5 cm. Wait no more than 10 seconds, and the data can be read after the pointer is stable.
  • 6. Record the data. Remove the probe from the soil and clean the probe thoroughly.
  • 7. If you need to continue to analyze other soils, please repeat the above steps.

Result analysis:

"Too little" means you need to spread fertilizer

  • 1. The fertilizers dissolved in water, then water combined with added nutrients to crops;
  • 2. Plant or transplanting plant watering should be combined with three weeks after fertilization, and each month when watering plants do.

"Ideal" means ok.

  • Combining with the watering, fertilizing once a month

"Too much" means no need fertilizer currently.

  • Just watering;
  • You will plant to transplanting to the new soil;
  • For the plants in the greenhouse, should be a lot of water, dilute nutrient leaching too much;
  • Don't let any chemical fertilizer, but can be applied into the manure, compost, plant residues, etc.

Precautions:

  • If the soil is too dry before testing, please moisten the soil with water first, hard insertion will damage the electrode tip!
  • When using for the first time, insert the probe in the soil several times to remove the oil and impurities. When measuring the pH and humidity of the soil, first insert the probe into the soil as deep as possible, and read the pH value after about 10 minutes. When the soil at the point is too dry or too fertile to measure the pH of the soil, you must first splash water on the measuring point and wait for 28 minutes before measuring.
  • When using it, make sure that the probe cannot be inserted into the stone. Do not use excessive force, otherwise the probe may be easily damaged. After use, clean the probe with water and dry it with a cloth for storage.
  • Please do not insert the probe into the soil for a long time, and do not use this device to test liquids, so as not to damage it.
  • This product only tests dirt and soil, etc. It is not suitable for liquid, dry flour, small stones, organic wood chips, etc.
  • This product is suitable for detecting nutrient soils, and the detected values are relatively accurate. For soils with low density or too muddy, such as sandy soil and red soil, the meter needle may not move due to the poor conductivity of the soil. You can change the detection environment to re-test. .
