Our girls love this lookout carseat….inside the house. Unfortunately they don’t like it in any vehicles. We’ve had this one for a couple years or so and it’s held up great. hasn’t lost its shape or stitching. fabric even has held up to one of our girls obsessively digging or scratching at it at times. We’ve removed the cover a handful of times to wash it and it has held up fine.We got our girls used to vehicle rides eventually but this car seat wasn’t a part of that process. They still don’t like it in a vehicle.Some dogs want to see what’s happening, other ones are more comfortable not knowing- ours are the latter. Great product at any rate.

I really wanted to like this booster seat for my 17-year-old 12-pound JackChi, but unfortunately there is one flaw in this product. Since they have a split at the corner of each of the side walls to allow the seat belt to pass across the booster, the walls are not sturdy enough to hold my dog if he wants to put his front paws on the wall. Yes, the split makes it easy to strap in the seat belt, but since the wall is no longer solid, it bends out when he put his weight on it. This happened when I was driving, and his body weight was causing the wall to bend out towards me, carrying him with it and almost depositing him in my lap. Luckily, I was able to push him back into place, but that was scary.I was looking for a large booster that would allow him to curl up and take a nap if we were on a trip and this one is quite large taking up my entire front passenger seat. It offers him a great viewing area to see out of the car, but he is used to being able to put his front paws on the side of his previous booster seat so that he can get an even greater height advantage. This booster does not offer a safe, sturdy wall for him to be able to do this and therefore I am returning it.

This was the only dog seat I could find that works in our motorhome! We used the pillow at home for her to get use to for a few days. She looks a little scared but she should ease up after a few miles down the road. Seems pretty sturdy and she is able to see my husband driving and look outside where she is going! I normally hold her on our trips but I will be flying down later this year.

I drive a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 and have a 9 year old dachshund boy who just LOVES to go for rides with me in the car. And LOVES to look out the window. BUT he’d always slide off the armrest when I’d take off from a light etc, no matter how slow I went. And being so short he can’t see out from down in the seat if he doesn’t do that.OMG this booster seat is such a game changer! He weighs about 19 pounds and I bought a medium, he fits perfect in it, he can lay down comfortably (he chilled out as soon as I clipped his harness into the seat) and is able to lay his chin on the “lip” of the seat towards the window and the seat fits perfectly in my passenger seat or my back bench seat. He can some what put his paws on the lip of the window but that’s it, he can’t go any further. So that makes me feel better safety wise. It’s like he was seeing everything for the first time again. He was checking out all of the people driving in their cars as we drove around. The seat is super plush, well made, and sturdy (it didn’t move at all when I’d stop and go) but comfortable for my pup. My dog didn’t have to dig around in it to get comfortable. The cover zips off so you can wash it, big plus. The clasp you use to anchor your dog to the seat has a nice hefty metal double sided clip that hooks to the dog’s harness and to the seatbelt that’s holding the seat in place, it’s not flimsy at all. I’m very impressed with how well this seat and its accessories are designed and made. Very VERY happy with my purchase and one of the best investments I’ve made.

Much larger then expected. Could fit two dogs. Arms very flimsy and not sturdy, which is a huge disadvantage.

My dog and I absolutely love this seat. It has opened up a whole new window level experience to him! It is so comfortable he often falls asleep. The product is very well made, easy to secure in the car and washable. Definitely recommend it.

We was looking for something that would be comfortable for our little cavalier who goes everwhere in the car with us and LOVES to go for drives. We saw this on Amazon and thought it looked just like our couch sothought we would give it a try and order it.The first time putting her in it she looked as if she had been in it for years.We just had to secure the lookout to the seabelt and hook the clasp that came with theseat to her own doggie seatbelt.Woila she had instant comfort and protection and could easily see out the window.Would HIGHLY recommend! Should have bought one years ago!
