I needed to up date my parents Galaxy 8 phones.. So I found a great pair of big screen, water, shock proof. All the bells and whistles type phones on Amazon. They liked them so I ordered.. that done I asked if they were using a good provider service. Well I find out there paying 3 times more then they should be with data plans they don't need or would ever use. I told them my last months cell bill with Public Mobile. They were shocked.. it was like 26 dollars i think. Ive been with P Mobile since it started.. 10 years or close, everytime someone signs up with your referral code your monthly bill is credited every month going forward for as long as your with them.. so refer enough people and your basically paying peanuts for exceptional plans. I set my parents up with a 40 dollar plan with unlimited Canada wide talk and text includes picture text international text and 15 gigs of data. Set up on recurring payment monthly on the day activated the exact amount everytime. No surprise growing totals always the same bill unless you decide to go online and change the plan.. So they have brand new phones they own out right.. and each a plan under 100 bucks a month for the 2 of them. Its very good service to.. in 10 years I've never been with out reception. I ordered the new simcards for 6 dollars and free prime delivery. Oh my parents even were able to keep the same phone #'s. I haven't found anything even close to as good as this!

Pubic mobile is a Telus company so you get the same LTE cell signal you would with telus or Bell as they share cell towers.The data is 3G speed on their cheaper plans which are still very good, about 3MB per second download and the cell signal for talking is LTE.Public mobile now offers 4G data plans with speeds up to 100mb download and 10mb upload speed, and they offer 5G plans as well 250 mb download speed etc. If you need a referral code for your discount when you sign up with them use 56E2E8.It's really easy setting up and transferring your phone number over to them online. everything is done online and is pretty straightforward.Make sure you sign up with your credit card for your monthly payments to get $2 off each month, and if you use this code 56E2E8 you will get a $10 credit towards your next month's bill. Usually around Christmas time every year they offer free bonuses like data and long distance minutes that you add to your account. Hope that helps take care.

My wife's cell phone usage was very low, so she kept her old old $10 pre-paid plan for almost 2 decades (I mean it). Eventually time has come when she needs more text message and a little more data. But the challenge I faced is she insisted the very same price. This is hard! But Public Mobile did it by rewarding customers through $2 AutoPay, $1 Loyalty Pays, $1 Per Friend, $20 Helping Others. This is brilliant. When customer help them to save money in payment, loyalty, sales, customer service, they just give you back the money.I followed the instruction and switched my wife's phone number over myself without a store agent. It used some brilliant checking method to ensure I am the legitimate owner of the phone number. Now my plan is $13 and I got 100 minutes talk, unlimited messaging, unlimited incoming calls, 250MB data with 3G speed (with AutoPay). I am not reaching the $10 goal set by my wife yet, but she is fine to get there in 3 years while she is enjoying the new minutes, messages and data.I just love it. Thank you Public Mobile for making my mission impossible completed successfully.

The value of Public Mobile cannot be beat! They're the only service provider that rewards you for loyalty! You'll get $1 off per month after you stay on for a year. I had switched my entire family over from Telus back in September and have been telling all my friends about it now. Everyone in my family was previously paying around $75 per month for a plan, now we're averaging $25 per month on Public Mobile. That's $600 in savings per year per person!! Don't be turned off by the 3G speeds, it's completely useable for all day to day needs, the only time you really notice it is if you're watching high definition videos on Youtube. Don't be worried about the service signal as well, I have driven out from Calgary to Vancouver and have had signal in the most remote areas. Activation is easy as well, if you ever run into questions just use the Public Mobile community forum and there are lots of helpful people. Use WX8RYE for $10 FREE credit on sign-up :)

So happy I switched from "cheap" $45 dollar plans to this one. I got the $25/month plan but pay $22 with discounts etc. Even transferred my old number over, no problem. No chance of accidentally going over my data (they notify you and you have to go online to buy more) and I barely notice a difference because of the 3G speeds. I get about 1GB a month but have only been over once when traveling. I've been on it a year and no regrets. I have the same coverage as I did with Rogers and wayyyy better than Freedom (who'd restrict data if I left a major city).Just make sure to check how much data you normally use before deciding on a plan.
