Not silent, but pretty quiet. Great for when you want to not make as much noise. They are made of foam so you don't get that nice snap sound when you hit a normal pickleball. The sound is more like thud as if you hit a piece of foam or a cloth. Probably low enough sound so if you were playing in a different room it would not annoy the person in the next room where a normal pickleball might annoy. The bounce seems to be a bit higher than a normal outdoor pickleball. Probably closer to a indoor pickleball bounce. Maybe a bit more. For it not having a bounce between indoor and outdoor I take off one star because it is advertised as a Indoor and outdoor ball.Durability: Being not a brittle as a normal pickleball I'd expect these to last a bit longer than a normal pickleball. Especially since it the extra bounce it has is better for indoor only. After a few games they are staying together, so they are not super fragile.I do like the bag it comes with. It makes taking them places and keeping them so much better.

Since these are a different material, weight and bounce than a typically pickleball (plastic whiffle ball), they aren't going to give you the same experience when practicing. They spin, bounce and hit completely differently. However, they are great for spaces where you can't use a traditional pickleball or just want to do some eye-hand coordination drills. They are soft foam and don't make a sound or leave marks so can be used almost anywhere. I use these to practice rapid volleys against a wall with my sweet spot trainer. These are no substitute for a pickleball but have unique qualities that if used effectively could make a great training tool.

Gave these foam balls a try with my partner. Wow, it was quite the experience, lol.The balls are bouncier than regulation balls, and are indeed whisper silent. I like the yellow color as they stand out well on the court. They play a bit heavier and faster, too. I think they are more just to have fun with as an alternative to the standard balls, and are not a ball to practice with as they are so different. Quite fun to try.

Great for hand eye coordination tasks and serving practice, but the size and bounce are different, so be careful of using them too often - My timing changed a bit practicing on these and I did poorly for a bit after using real balls until my timing came back.

I like the idea of these overall, but they're not exactly really "pickleballs" per se.Much like the "silent basketballs", these perform in a fundamentally different way than a standard regulation pickleball, but they can be good for simply working on coordination and contact more than precise technique.I can see them being really useful for training net play as they're less intimidating than the hard plastic ones. Getting beaned with one of these would hurt far less and I think there's some value in taking the "sting" out of the game when training. If you use a small basket of these to practice rifling at the person at the net to help them develop quick reflexes, I think they'd be great.Likewise, I think if you're looking for something you could use for practice at home, like hitting against your garage door for instance, they'd be great. They're just coated foam, so they're not going to damage or dent your door, so if you really need to get some dinking practice in or just to stay loose, they'd be great.Overall, I think for warmup or for specific training / practice scenarios, they'd be ok, but they're not something you could reasonably actually "play" with in a match. If you have realistic expectations, you'll be happy with them, but for now, pickleball just isn't a "silent" game...yet.
