The plastic connecting joints are not strong enough and may break even when under a load well within the weight limit. I had a one of the plastic joints break as I was setting up and my lights went crashing to the floor..... The hardware for hanging the lights are do not have large enough heads the hex head just nearly pulls through the hole in the mounting hardware for the light and there were not any washers included with the hardware set.

I use the stand for night fishing. It holds my 4 spotlight on windy jetty. Very steady and easy to adjust.
