I'm so pumped to finally install this new on-demand water heater. The idea of having endless hot water in our RV has been a dream for years. I'll probably be able to get it installed within the next few weeks, but I wanted to share my initial impressions:Right out of the box, I'm really impressed. The build quality looks fantastic. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. All in all, installation seems pretty straightforward. It's exactly the same size as a standard 6-gallon RV water heater, so it should be a simple replacement as long as you can access the back of your existing heater and all the necessary lines. It's even compatible with diverter switches for winterizing fluid. You'll need to replace the control panel on some wall of the RV, but it's a fairly easy swap - you shouldn't need to run any wires, and can hook up the new control board to the same wires that your old one was connected to. (Obviously, this comment doesn't apply to new builds). If you're concerned about weight, this unit is slightly heavier than a standard 6-gallon heater. However, if you think about when you're traveling between campsites, you're probably not draining the hot water tank every time, which can add around 50 pounds. Speaking of draining tanks, there are also no anode rods to replace, which is a bonus. The temperature and pressure relief valve is designed to drain directly out of the bottom, which is a nice improvement over traditional setups. Another plus is that there's no anode rod.The system itself is a bit more complex than a traditional tank heater, but it's essentially a series of copper coils that heat the water as it flows through. The BTU/hour output is higher, but I expect it will be more efficient overall because you won't be heating water that you're not using. This should result in propane savings and faster morning routines.I can't wait to install it and share more of my experience.

Campers, etc... This is going into my solar barn. 12v system and a minimum of a gallon per minute rating. It says it consumes 20 wats of power - not sure if that is continuous or on demand. Great low profile and easy to install. So far, so good.
