I just got off the phone with a body from the Rescue Data Recovery Center and they told me, right off that they do not 'replace' the hard drive and place the data from the old hard drive onto it. They send you a USB or something of the sort with the data on it depending on how much data there is.'If your drive stops working, the Rescue data recovery plan will recover the data from the failed drive and return it to you on a new media storage device.'I feel that this is a dishonest ad because as it says, right there, 'plan will recover the data and return it to you on a new media storage device'It should say we will send you the smallest media storage device available and not replace the hard drive you lost. The wording is much too ambiguous as it is and I will never buy another hard drive on Amazon. I could have gotten one from a computer store in my city that would have replaced it up front if it died on me and replaced the Data.I find that this advertisement for this product too ambiguous and dishonest. They know enough to tell you in the phone call right up front that they do not replace the device, they know that and yet, they keep the ad confusing.I do appreciate that they returned my 20 dollars but I was expecting a my device returned with my data.Not impressed.
