Unfortunately the struts received are incorrect. The interface at the hatch/door location is at an incorrect angle for proper interface.Good quality but not correct:(

Bought to replace weak trunk lift struts on a 2016 Veloster. Perfect fit and working well after the first year, no noticeable decrease in strength yet. Happy with the quality and price.

Installed it and everything was fine the hatch was coming up and holding up good for awhile then all of a sudden it stopped holding the hatch up in place again. I’ve read all positive reviews about the product which confuses me and makes disappointed about my experience.

After several years the oem ones were not working too well and holding the hatch open every time I needed to load groceries was getting annoying. I looked up a video on YT on how to install them and it literally took less than 5 minutes to take the ones out and replace them with these. I cannot speak for their durability yet as I have had them for only a few weeks, but as far as ease of installation, price, and functionality, they are great. I got startled the first few times I opened the hatch and it went up so quickly. I'd forgotten the convenience of it and not being worried that it would fall on my head while trying to dig something out of the "trunk"

My 2013 Hyundai Veloster trunk struts were making a low hissing noise every time the trunk had already been pulled up. What's worst is that you needed to lift a little harder than before to make sure the trunk was fully opened, or it could fall back down. I popped these in a few minutes after delivery, quick and easy.For those Veloster DIYers who might be a little loss as to how:1. Pull the trunk all the way up and get something or someone ready to hold the trunk up.2. On each of the struts there are these rings with a tab for a flat head screwdriver on each end; pry them off and over the ball joint. Start with the top as it's easier to get to than the bottom.3. With the tab off and over, the strut should just pop off with a little tug.4. Do Step 2 for the bottom joint and you're done.5. With the old strut off, simply push and pop in the new one starting with the top, and the bottom.Do this for each side, I'd recommend doing them one at a time so that it's easier for the person holding the trunk. I managed to do it without help but I'd rather have someone there if I had to do it again.
