I’ve been using this sleeping pad on a few camping trips and while it’s super comfortable, inflating it was a bit of a hassle though... literally my only con with this thing. The first time I tried to inflate it, it took a solid five minutes and a little patience to get it going. The pump sack does help, but I kind of wish it was quicker. Once it’s inflated though, the 4" thickness really makes a difference to keep you off the cold ground. It’s so comfy and gives great support even sleeping on my side, although im mostly a stomach sleeperThe material feels soft, it doesnt sound scratchy or annoying when you move around on it which is a huge plus since I hate the crinkly noise some sleeping pads make. It’s also durable and seems like it’ll hold up well on all kinds of surfaces without any issues.Overall, this is a great sleeping pad for camping, especially for comfort and insulation, but just be prepared for a bit of a workout when it comes time to inflate it. It’s still a solid 4 star product for the quality and comfort it offers.

This offers superior comfort because it is 4 inches thick, and can still be compact when rolled up for easy storage. It’s relatively lightweight and is simple to inflate. The fabric is skin-friendly, and it can be used for camping, picnics, in your car or even at home so it is versatile. If you want superior comfort, this is a good option that I can recommend for sure.

IMPORTANT! The size I have of this sleeping pad is called a ‘twin’. The dimensions of this sleeping pad are 78” x 28” whereas an actual twin mattress is 75” x 38”.There are very few sleeping pads for extreme cold weather ANYWHERE in Canada. I looked for sleeping bags online that had an R value of 7.0 or more at MEC, Breathe/Campers Village, and BassPro/Cabelas. Altogether I could find only 7! Five of these had R values between 7.0 and 7.5 and the average full price on those was $320. The least expensive pad was $260. The other two sleeping pads were both rated R8.8 and averaged $385. Yikes!Currently, prior to any discounts, coupons or temporary price drops, this R 9.5 sleeping pad from Outskirt has a full price of $140. Now that’s more like it!To be fair, prices on Amazon are much cheaper for winter sleeping pads than they are in the online versions of brick and mortar stores. Altogether I found 8 sleeping pads here (and I’m sure there are more) but the ones I found that were over R 7.0 had an average full cost (= prior to any coupons, discounts or temporary price drops) of $155. I lumped all of the averages from R 7.0 to 10.5 together because on Amazon the amount of insulation didn’t correlate with price.Summing it up, extreme cold weather sleeping pads are atrociously expensive in dedicated sporting goods stores but are about half the price at Amazon. This Outskirt is a bit lower than the average extreme cold weather sleeping pad on Amazon.By the way, I saw a lot of sleeping pads which claimed to be ‘4 season’ or ‘suitable for camping in the winter’. If you really want a sleeping for our winters, don’t get anything that doesn’t provide a specific R value.

This sufficiently large, 4-inch thick inflatable mattress from brand OUTSKIRT is designed to be a sort of luxury pad with memory foam built right into the top fabric of the pad. It is - traditional blow-up pads that I am normally accustomed to, offering a standard, rectangular shape with rounded edges. There are no specialized cut-outs for RV or SUV wheel-bumps, but would function fine inside one of these. I use it for tent camping, and its light navy blue colour matches my tent perfectly. This is where it will get the most use; on adventures of this sort. The coating on this mattress feels firm, yet pliable, and soft to lay on. I have not felt or heard a single squeak from the rubberized material, after fully inflating and applying body pressure. Perhaps as a result of the built-in memory-foam padding. It seems like a really great option for getting a good night sleep while exploring the outdoors. The mattress is not exactly small, but still convenient enough with the included self-inflate and deflate feature, though you can speed up the process with the unique carrying bag that doubles as a pump, which appears to be made of a durable fabric as well, designed to contain air. You can then easily roll the pad up and it fits well inside the bag.Overall, this outdoor pad is certainly comfortable and will give you an amazing nights sleep in any weather conditions, allowing you to focus on your adventure. Not sure if the brand offers other colours in this particular option, but this one was great for my needs so far. 5 stars.
