The self-inflating foam uses diagonal-cut channels, reducing weight and packed size while still retaining heat making the Prolite pad is an ultra-compact backcountry sleeping solution. The 1-inch thick pad will expand on its own with an open valve; top it off with a few breaths. Available in two styles: Equipped with the Standard Valve, or equipped with the WingLock Valve which is able to inflate a pad three times faster than a standard valve thanks to a larger barrel and optional one-way inflation. recommended. if you're looking for an ultralight mattress, this is a great choice. my previous prolite xs has served me well for decades, this is an updated and slightly longer one for my co-pilot.

I bought this pad to replace an older Thermarest to see what new pads are like. Not disappointed! The pad is easier to inflate thanks to a new kind of inflate/ deflate valve. Just open it up and leave it and come back... then a few breaths is all it takes to keep it full! Comfortable and warm. Packs up pretty small, not as small as some Klymit ones but they inflate more easily and are definitely more comfortable and reliable.

Recommend going with a pump sack inflatable for a lil more $$$. Topping up with one's breath is mandatory for this to offer any support, which introduces moisture and bacteria into the internals which will lead to eventual degradation...

I purchased this product last year. Finally got some time off to get out for a camping trip, try the pad out for the first time and the pad failed. In the middle of the night while I was sleeping the pad formed a tumour, or large bubble by my feet.I can imagine this is the layers inside delaminating. This made the pad unusable. I have also tried contacting the seller multiple times (on the customer service page) with no reply. Bad customer service. I would have expected better from a big brand.

Great basic pad, the one way valve makes inflating it super easy and you don’t need to worry about it leaking with the two locking mechanism. Only complaint is that it seems a little thin for a thermarest.

12 Tage wandern in Island bei bis zu Minus 10 grad. Der Schlafsack ist natürlich wichtiger, aber zusammen mit einer isomatte von thermarest keinerlei Probleme gehabt.Immer wieder gerne!
