To me these are the BEST looking & practical / usable steps. Finally, a step into the truck that works, the one's I took off, you step 90% of the way then trip in the last 10%. While the others were off, it was easier to step into the truck than use the old steps. These are the PERFECT Height for one step & in.Now to the complaints, THE DIRECTIONS ARE TERRIBLE, the wording & placement of steps 1-5 are out of order then you flip around & turn upside down for the steps on the back. The double decoder ring needed to figure out the nuts & bolts. They call it one thing in the description, then you have to match it to a chart that gives you a different number for the picture of the parts.Mine were late, probably because they smashed through both ends of the box (scratched & retaped) and fell out when I went to bring them inside. Nuts & Bolts scattered & missing. I ended up using almost all of the existing body bolts from the old steps.A lot of people didn't like that the passenger side has 2 different brackets (for diesel ??) that was easy BUT on mine (GMC / Chevy) I had to put the split brackets on the front 2 (instead of directions to put on rear), because there were threads & nuts built-in to the truck. Where the back was open slots to use the snap-in nuts. Once you made these adjustments it was a breeze, especially the driver side.I'm going to touch up scratches with bedliner paint. I'm hoping they last, there are a lot of exposed nuts & bolts you add to mount steps to the brackets. It took 3 hours to remove old ones & add new.LOOKS & Step Design... 10.0Directions.... 2.0Brackets.... 8.5Nuts & Bolts....5.0Ease of Install... 8.0Recommend... 8.0Buy Again... 8.0

I was worried I'd have to drop the DEF tank on my 2018 3500 GMC. The only part I had to drop was the tank cover. The front most bracket top attachment point fit into the bolt hole with a sturdy pin. The bottom bolt holds the bracket sturdy and was accessible even with my big hands. A ratcheting wrench made quick work of tightening the bolts. The second bracket was accessible with both bolts. After I cleaned the tank cover everything went back together without a hitch. This set of running boards were super simple to install and look great on my truck! The whole process took about 4 hours, but I took my time to be sure everything was cleaned really well before I installed the boards.
