I love this lamp! It's a great addition to my living room. I'd say the only con was assembly, it requires each section of the stand be screwed in to a double ended joint. If you twist one section it can unscrew the next, so it takes some careful coordination to get them both on the joint. Otherwise, it's very stable and works great!

I'm impressed with this lamp! I love the olive green glass shade, and the entire lamp is heavy and well-built. The base is quite heavy and keeps the lamp stable and upright. It was VERY easy to put together, took all of 3 minutes once unboxed, and I love the step-control for turning it on and off.

I didn't have to use a single tool-- you can do it all with your two hands. It is simply a matter of screwing the pole pieces together and attaching them to the base. I was very impressed with the ease of putting this lamp together in under 5 minutes. But, once I had it together, it is so classically beautiful. It reminds me of something you might see in a dusty old lounge or library in someone's home. The lamp that sits behind the worn leather chair that lights up the room so someone can sit and read their favorite book or enjoy a cigar with a friend. There is just something so elegant and timeless about the glow of light through the green glass shade. Turning the lamp on and off is a simple tap of the foot. No more reaching down to find the switch, you just tap the button with your foot.

I really like the way this lamp looks and thought it would be perfect in a guest bedroom. However it has some real issues. I was going to give it two stars, but honestly I think this lamp is kind of dangerous so I gave it one star.My main issues:1) It leans, because the shade is too heavy for the lamp base. You can see this in my photo next to a window (see how it leans to the left). I put a level on the pole to make sure it wasn’t just an optical illusion, but as you can see from that photo, it definitely leans2) My bigger concern is that it is VERY easy to tip over. You just have to barely brush the lamp pole for it to tip. All I’m picturing is broken glass all over the floor. Not good. The base isn’t wide enough or weighted enough to counter-balance the glass lampshade.3) a minor issue is that the foot switch doesn’t sit properly on the floor because the wire twists it around. I guess if I weighted it for a period of time, it would straighten out and sit flat, but I’m not going to use this long enough to find out.

Love the ribbed green shade, gives the corner an instant upgrade. Two things though: thread the poles slowly because if you cross‑thread even a bit the insert can strip and the lamp leans. Foot switch clicks fine. Bulb isn’t included so grab a spare E26 beforehand. Once set up it lights the room nicely and feels sturdy.
