I read the reviews of this product and looked great. On fitting I found the these do not fit UK toilets, as the fittings are not wide enough apart (so ends up bending the fittings making it not fit). I have 3 different toilets and doesn’t fit any of them.Otherwise a great idea and good quality, but seems to be make for another market.

I needed to replace the seat on my American Standard Cadet round bowl toilet. Most of the reviews of toilet seats in the big box home centers had a lot of poor reviews. I saw this seat had a lot of very favorable reviews. I am glad I bought it. It is great. It feels very solid. The hinges seem very durable. It was easy to install but I did have one hiccup. The seat kept moving. I tightened the nuts. It moved again. Finally I realized that I did not press the hinge covers down all the way. I pressed down on them, a good click for each. The seat stayed in place when I tightened the nuts. A 5/8 combination wrench made the install a little easier. I am very satisfied with this seat . The soft close feature is nice. No loud dropped toilet seats in the middle of the night any more. I may order another to put on my other toilet.

I bought this for someone else so I have no idea how it will perform installed. I did test its function on a countertop by holding down the hinges; smooth and slow closing. An encouraging part of this Warehouse Deal was the remnant of a Return label which had been cut off; good to know that returns are being put back into inventory at a little over 1/2 the cost of new.

These slow-close lids are typically quite pricey. But this one was half the usual cost because it was a Warehouse deal. It had a small crack in the attachment piece that did not affect install. Works great and looks great.

I am very pleased by this toilet seat, it is replacing a wood one that we love, but the wood finish wears off and I’m tire of replacing it every year. I was worried about ordering plastic as I have had some bad experiences in the past with flimsy, shifting seats. Well this seat is excellent quality, very well made, just as comfortable as the wood one. Also very sturdy, it arrived last week, I put it on easily. My husband is 6’5 and 250 lbs and he is very pleased as it is solid, does not shift at all. It is a great toilet seat! Please Please do not listen to reviews that say it shifts etc. they evidently did not follow the easy instructions exactly.

I believe this is a good product but did not come with the hardware. When I tried contacting Mayfair using the number listed on Amazon it directed me to a golf course in Edmonton! They knew nothing about toilet seats....returned the pot lid to Amazon.

I read so many reviews and they all help! I finally decided to get this one and I am thrilled I did. I would recommend it to anybody. I still need someone with stronger fingers to finish tightening it but we'll get to the last bit eventually. I've bought cheaper ones in the past but it's false economy when you have to buy another that works. When I get a house with more bathrooms, I'll be buying this one only to outfit each bathroom :-)
