Diameter of the bulb ends just (with effort) fit the lamp housing. Too difficult to install.

I tried to change the bulb out in the pond light. However, I believe the whole unit has problems and needs to be replaced so cant comment on the bulb. It was the right one for the pond. But pond light unit seems to be kaput.
