Batteries Included & Replaceable
Included in your package will be a tool to change the batteries when needed. The first set of batteries will be pre-installed and ready for use upon arrival. All you need to do is pump the ball with air. Once your ball is full of air just bounce it and the ball will light up.

You’ll want to play with long sleeves as this ball hurts. It is cool to play with but does feel very “plasticy” and hurts if there’s any hard shots to play.

I was concerned with some of the reviews stating that this ball is too hard to play with. I have a 7-th grade die-hard Volleyball player who never wants to quit playing just because it is getting dark outside, so the light-up feature appealed to me for her. We are currently blanketed under snow in the Midwest so she can't really use this Christmas present in the proper way just yet, but she has been batting in around in our barn to try it out and says that yes, it IS harder than the usual volleyballs, but it is not bad to use. She LOVES the light-up feature on it, especially that there is a button to turn it off when you don't want it on, so it is very easy to use unlike the solar-lit kind which you cannot turn off. She also says it is regulation-size for what she uses in school league, which is a relief, as I was worried about that. A little more expensive than some other options, but is very much worth the extra, as it appears to be pretty good quality. Came deflated, not a worry for me as we have a compressor, but other buyers may want to know.

This is a really nifty ball for night-time play. We ordered it for a teenager party and it was a huge hit. The ball is very bright at night. Has an internal LED light that uses 3 button batteries (included). As described the ball turns off after about 5 minutes of no activity, and then lights back up when kicked. In our case, the batteries lasted for about 6 hours of intermittent play. The batteries are very easy to change -- you pull out a little rubber plug in the ball (using the included tool -- but a screwdriver would work too), use the tool to pull out the 1-inch long battery stack and attached LED light, slide off the clear plastic sleeve and replace the batteries. Put it back together and then push the light and battery stack back into the compartment with your thumb and then replace the rubber plug. Done. The ball itself is pretty rugged, but you would not want to use it for routine play -- just a fun night time activity.

Bought this for my 10 year-old daughter who loves bouncing a ball around after school & hated not being able to in the dark winter nights. She loves this LED ball - and her school friends think it is the coolest thing. It's been used almost every day in the 3 months since I bought it & it lights up brightly every time.

received in good time. The ball works exactly like indicated will light up when in use on its own and turn off when no longer in use. We will have lots of fun this summer playing some night volleyball in our backyard beach volleyball court.
