It's great, solid construction, and way cheaper than other options I have found.

Very easy to install, placed bracket where wanted, drilled pilot holes into wooden deck. Then put in lag bolts that came with kit. Very sturdy and has kept our umbrella upright in 25mph winds.

These Umbrella base stands worked very well for our pool.I'll have to make the drainage hole bigger on a couple of themas they didn't drain out the water completely.

We needed an umbrella to block a street light behind our home. This deck mount is perfect. It secures the umbrella much better than a weighted pad would.

I bought 2 of these deck stands and installed them on either side of a large wooden deck, so I can move an umbrella from east to west sides to shade from morning and afternoon sun. The product is sturdy, well made and easy to use. Ideal for my purpose.

Really liked this stand, kind of simple to install. The only issue we had was it rusted within a few days and for that price it shouldn't have happened. Will continue to use but will have to rust proof in fall.

This umbrella stand is solidly made and should stand up to weather as well as any umbrella you put in it.As for the couple of issues I mention in my title: First, unless the pole of your umbrella is the largest side this stand takes (1-9/10" diameter), the base will put it at a slight angle when you tighten the holding knobs. The adapter sleeves hold the pole centered at the top of the base, but nothing holds the bottom end of the pole centered, so tightening the knob pushes it over at an angle. (And not tightening the knob would let it wobble.) This may or may not bug you. It kind of bugs me, so I think I'll come up with some kind of spacer to put onto the bottom of my umbrella pole to keep it centered at both ends, and hence straight. The other issue is with the mounting screws supplied with the base. As you can see in the picture, these are unthreaded for about the first 3/4". The base is only about 1/8" thick, so if you screw these into deck boards (typically about 1" thick) only a few of the threads will actually bite into wood. You may want to get different screws if you're attaching this to a deck.
