I am surprised at how good the quality of this is. My last one exploded because I left it out in winter and the freeze/thaw ruptured the polyresin base. I will have to make sure I take this one in the garage this winter. I like the simole style. As a single man, I didnt want one that looks like my Moms with all that extra "elegant" design work ( you know what I mean). This looks sleek and modern and you cant beat the price!

Stable, nice color, quality plastic . A lot better than the concrete models. Easy to store during the winter.

This is a nice looking and very functional umbrella stand. I’m using this for a self-standing umbrella, not to be inserted into a patio table. I periodically move it around my patio to adjust for the sun and where people are sitting so the wheels come in extremely handy, making it very easy to relocate. Gone are the days of lifting a heavy umbrella and base to move shade around my patio. The base is brown in color with it weaved texture on the top to add some style. It contains two pole screw clamps that hold the umbrella pole securely in place to the base. It is solidly built and heavy to keep the umbrella upright, especially important during heavy winds. The wheels can lock into place to prevent it from rolling around. The wheel locks are easy to operate but depending on the wheel position you might have to rotate the direction of it to access the locking mechanism which is on the back of each wheel.Putting it together was fine except for installing the wheels. They do not go in without a fight. I had to use a big screwdriver and a mallet to hammer them into place. With the effort used to install them I am pretty sure they won't be falling out.I like the way this product looks and the way it is constructed, and I expect it will last for years.*Please note that the umbrella show in the picture is not included with this umbrella stand.

I got this to replace a decades old plastic umbrella stand under my picnic table that no longer held water. It didn’t work too well anymore. This guy is big and seems to be designed more as a freestanding umbrella stand, but there were marketing photos of it under a table, so I pushed the button. It works well and will give my wife somewhere to put her feet. She’ll be happy.I have put together lots of IKEA stuff, so I can read pictographs pretty well, but this manufacturer needs a better printer or a better graphics staff. Directions are tiny and blurry and maybe a little vague. As noted in other reviews, the split sleeve was hiding in the base. That’s important to know because the base post won’t just slide into the sleeve, so you have to pull the sleeve out and expand it over the base post. Sorry, making up names because, well, the directions are fuzzy…What I liked:1 Base holds a lot of water and isn’t going anywhere.2 Seems well designed. I’m in a humid seawater environment and anything that can rust will. So, yes, I tested one of the leftover screws in a salt solution for a few days and no rust! That’s good.3 Material is substantial.4 Welds are good and paint coverage is good.5 No water leaks! What I didn’t like:1 Instructions (did you guess that would be number 1?)2 The lockable wheels are a tight fit and you’ll need a real screw driver to get the screws into their holes. I tend to use my electric screwdriver for everything and that won’t work here.3 There is a cover plate that goes over the water fill hole and a base plate that screws into the bottom of the base post. It literally took me days to figure out you could remove the screws from the base post and pop the cover plate over the retaining screw plates after installing the base plate. Yeah, the instructions didn’t help. Oh well, with my setup I don’t really need the base plate. Works fine without it.So, got it all together, put my ancient umbrella in and started to turn the crank to unfold the umbrella. The handle shattered and I’m left using a pair of vise grips. Ugh! Time for a new umbrella…

ABCCANOPY Fillable Umbrella Base performed just as expected! We had a hard time finding a base at the stores this year. It was disappointing, we weren’t sure what to expect. The assembly is easy and you can fill it with sand or water it’s your choice what works for you. It was easiest for us to do water at the moment. We have two different umbrellas and it performed great with both. We’re happy we found one that works for us. It’s basic and does it’s job, sure it’s not glamorous but it does what it’s expected to do.
