I keep getting invited to play pickleball but didnt have any equipment so I bought a cheap set. What I got was cheap and horrible so a huge waste of money because I like nice things. Then I found this paddle, it is pricey but super nice and top grade. Love the feel and balance and finish and everything about it. Great paddle!

This is my favorite paddle and I can get all my shots in with perfect control and speed. I'm a petite person and don't have the large wingspan, I rely on positioning and placement to play well. Ever since I have switched from elongated to square paddle, I never go back. I have two Scorpeus 3s and now the 4th gen is absolutely amazing. So much pop and same amount of control. A tad bit more power which I don't mind as I don't generate enough. The sweet spot is huge and very forgiving on all angles.

This Joola Scorpeus Pro IV Pickleball Paddle (comes in 14mm and 16mm models) is a full featured paddle that is geared for the intermediate to expert player. After further research and before I ordered this paddle I found these features/qualities that helped me with the selection process. Note: There are more than several video/written reviews on these models - this abridged review addresses the ones most important to me.The Pro IV has added a section of high density foam to the inside of the bottom corners and throat of the paddle which added weight but helps with the stability and increases the sweet spot allowing the paddle to flex more which translates to forgiveness. It also enhances feel, power and dwell time - meaning more spin. The short time I've played with this racquet I'm finding the above information to be true.The paddles are USAP & UPS certified allowing it in more sanctioned tournaments. This one feature is nice but not in my world since I don't play sanctioned tourneys. Additionally there is an imbedded NFC chip (Near-Field Communication) used to store small data that can be used for identification or for sharing certain media. This information can be read by placing your smart phone near the chip's location in the handle. Note: the weight of the chip is negligible and doesn't compromise performance.Referencing the 14mm & 16mm options the differences translate to: 14mm (thinner) equals more pop and greater maneuverability especially at the kitchen line vs. the 16mm (thicker) will give you more power in your serves and drives.The bottom line is you'll have to decide what type of performance qualities you need based on your game. My choice of the 14mm paddle has been exactly what I've been looking for and from the onset this paddle has performed exactly as advertised - as it should b/c the price of these paddles are justifiably higher than your lower performing models.Overall, a great performing pickleball paddle that requires at least an intermediate player's capabilities to extract.

The JOOLA Anna Bright Scorpeus Pro IV Pickleball Paddle is a great all around paddle for the all levels of players and I have especially enjoyed this paddle for doubles. I play a lot of singles and usually use elongated paddles but I have really appreciated this wide body paddle for doubles. It has a superior sweet spot and makes a great paddle for playing at the kitchen as well as managing resets etc. The power is surprising and the control is excellent. I can generate a lot of spin also with this paddle. The paddle has a lot of the latest technology out there and has really been fun to play with. This paddle is 14mm and has surprising pop for a wide body paddle. I went with the Anna Bright paddle over the Collin Johns paddle because I came from a high level racquetball player to pickleball and prefer a narrower grip. In addition, I often prefer 14mm paddles to 16mm paddles. Some of my friends kid me because I'm a power lifting guy using a so called "ladies paddle". but Anna Bright would kick my butt anyways. But seriously if you prefer a slightly narrower grip or if you have smaller hands,, this paddle is great for men or women.
