when you are working with 1/2 inch conduit pipe, the inside pipe dimension is 1/2 but external close to 5/8. but these straps are 1/2 in internal which means this is for small than a 1/2 inch pipe. I don't know how they covert where these come from but I never had any problem when I order for 1/2 inch careful when ordering these. next time I will dig deeper be safe

I used these to build small chicken tractors & a new portable breeding pen and they worked great. They are good pieces for a whole range of projects, not just plumbing. I am going to get more of them and stock up because while we were working on the project we bought them for we came up with a whole list of potential uses for them and during the Spring/Summer months we are always doing DIY projects and will use them again. So, this is probably great for what they are made from but they aren't as heavy duty as some I bought from Lowes. This is what Home Depot has. I made some bicycle panniers with this and all the Halex straps broke from the weight but the ones I got from Lowes are fine still, not even stretched.I'm giving them 3 stars because I'm sure they would be fine holding electrical conduit on a wall but for me they were a little weak.

These straps were exactly what I needed to secure water inlet copper pipe to the wall in my laundry room. Only "problem" now, is that I have 20 of them leftover.Strangely enough, it was the package of 25 pieces that was a better deal (and by better, I mean the total cost was less for this bulk package than it was for the same item, but for a package of 6 pieces). So... I guess I'll find other things to strap down eventually.
