This Furrion replaced an RV Part Pro tankless water heater (complete pile of junk also) that I bought on Amazon. And before that I had a Dometic 8Gal that stopped working as well. I’ve had three water heaters in my 2021 Grand Design Reflection (also a pile a junk) and thought this Furrion would be the end all be all of water heaters. Boy was I wrong. Keeps throwing an E-6 code which says can be a variety of things from a plugged filter, air in the lines, or water fixtures on the trailer leaking cold water to hot side. All of which I’ve checked those things. For the price you pay for this water heater in my opinion would expect better quality. Got about 6 months out of it which is what I got out of the Rv Part Pro water heater. I plan to call Furrion and resolve this issue but I’ll probably be on the phone with some person asking me all the things written in the owners manual I’ve already eliminated. 50-50 shot on this water heater. I know they put them on all the Brinkleys, Grand Design, and probably some Forest River trailers, but just my 2 cents you’ll either get a good one or a Lemmon based on all the reviews, research and experiences I’ve had. 2 stars.

Had to replace original one because there must have been a little water not blown out when winterized, lesson learned the hard way. We have always had the tank hot water heater in our other campers and preferred it that way but the new ones are going to tankless. You have to run the water awhile to get it hot and that’s a problem when you have just so much water in fresh water tank and just so much room in grey water tank. This new one we got, seems to heat faster the the original that came with the camper so that’s a plus..

Got this for our school bus conversion. It keeps the water at exactly the temp set.My only complaint is that during install, one of the fittings (where hot water connects) broke very easily. It is made of extremely thin brass. I tried to find a replacement part locally but no one had it so I had to return and buy a whole new heater. But once I got it installed without breaking anything, it works great!

Easy to install, make sure you have the right face plate and the setup is fast.

It works well and was relatively easy to install. Takes a minute or two for the hot water to reach the tap, but that is to be expected

Got this unit to replace current 6 gallon suburban water heater.Typical story: full timer, got tired of 5 minute hot water limits.I did months of research, tough decision between Girard and furrion. Furrion won this tie with its more modernized panel and mechanics. Now one month in, here's my review:Install was straightforward, aware I needed to resize the length and depth of my water lines, I was already equipped with a pex cutter and crimper, which will be required if like my palomino, was hard lined to the tank of the old heater. Be sure to drain the low points and shutoff water supply for less water cleanup. mine also required some pex to 1/2" npt fittings to adapt to the furrion unit.My old unit had a 3 wire 12v power source, assuming one was a signal for the dsi fault indicator, I probed for my switched power and ground from the old unit. Power was now supplied and I decided a short run of speaker pair wire would be sufficient to extend the minimally supplied signal wire for the remote unit to the outside panel of the utility cabinet/pantry.I then proceeded to power the unit on with water supplied, and set it to max temp(124°) and turned on the kitchen faucet.Within 10 seconds I had warm water, by 20 it was hot enough to impress me. I decided to settle on 122° as the incoming water temperature is close to 40°, and the first start of the morning for a shower does take about 45-60 seconds to stabilize. Not to be mistaken, the water is hot at 20 seconds but the addition of the cold valve water supply drops the water temp significantly at first, then rises.I have tested the system by showering a typical length as I would in a house with a residential heater. I have also ran it on direct hot for the time it takes to fill a 36 gallon holding tank with just hot water. The system maintained the set temperature within 1 minute of activation throughout the duration if both tests. It has the typical: if you pause flow, then resume you'll get a second of colder water than you expect. But otherwise I have no complaints so far.Propane use seems significantly lower despite the extended testing versus the 6 gallon tank unit.My unit was tested at 60psi of head pressure, easily at 2.5gpm flow, through a kdp whole house filter at 1 micron, with the flow valve left on factory setting(MAX)My door came white, I used krylon quick dry enamel using multiple light coats for the door and frame which were painted apart.Butyl tape, dicor sealant, some pex line fittings crimpers and pex adapters are required for install, along with a screwdriver, wire crimpers and butt connectors.

The water heater easily fit where I had removed the previous 6gallon tank style heater. The exterior door covered everything it needed to cover. Wiring was simple enough. 4 wires. To make our water flow better throughout our camper, I replaced all the water piping near the water heater with ¾" pex, and brass fittings. And eliminated the small, constricted under sink style flex hoses. This water heater has a minimum start flow of 0.3gpm. Anything less than that, it doesn't know to turn on, and heat the water. This heater had one of the lowest flow rate triggers that I could find. To be honest, I'm really surprised by just how much flow 0.3gpm is. I can't imagine how the more common 0.5gpm minimum flow trigger would have been. For those who are considering one of these, and spend a lot of time boon-docking. I would seriously encourage you to use this in series with your existing tank style heater. The water usage due to the minimum flow will be an issue. I would recommend installing this tankless heater before your regular tank heater. Then, if you need to just barely trickle some hot water to rinse a dish, or your hands, you're not using a much water. Then when you want a good hot shower, since the tankless will totally keep up with the demand, and keep feeding your tank heater with piping hot water, you won't run out of hot water. For those who are tied into shore water supply, enjoy the Neverending steamy bath and shower.
