This was a great replacement for my 10 gallon tank in my 5th wheel that busted after I forgot to winterize it. I was able to use my old cover and it fit easily inside my existing opening. I installed this myself and it was pretty straightforward. I did have to wire it directly to my battery but it worked right away. The controls are easy and water was at the faucet very quickly and much hotter than expected. I would buy this again and will also upgrade the one in my motorhome.

Easy install, Works GREAT. ALL RVs should come with this type of Water Heater. Ten people in a row could take a shower and all would have endless hot water. No more waiting for old Heater to heat up just to run out of hot water half way thru your shower.

Not happy at all. I bought this with the hope that it would work at least as well as the tanked system I was replacing, it has fallen short in every way. Installation was easy but brought my first complaint. Like many rvs my heater is on the drivers side of the camper. The door (you have to buy separately for another $100 opens on the right which means driving down the road the door catches air instead of being forced closed. I could get over that. Once installed the first thing on power up was an error code 07, the solenoid valve, manual says to check wiring I did everything was connected but the massage cleared. Now this is supposed to be an on demand water heater, I would think the shower would be a demand, so far the only way I can get any type of decent shower is to lower the temp untill it’s bearable and leave only hot water running. If I try to blend the water using a little cold to make it comfortable the heater says it can’t heat and shuts down, but from inside the shower the only thing you notice is no hot water so you turn off the cold and a few minutes later it’s too hot again so you add a little cold and repeat the process until you either take a shower in burning hot or ice water. It does seem to work for washing hands but you still need to run enough water to get to the hot water which if your using your onboard tank burns through a good bit of water. Side note shaving is just as bad if you turn the water on and off the heater doesn’t keep hot water so now you either leave it running wasting the water or turn it on let it get hot wasting water.

Excellent unit with detailed display board. Unit fires quickly with water flow, heats water instantly, and delivers water to fixtures without hesitation. Save money if you’re handy and use your factory door. Mine was painted to match the exterior so buying the black door that’s available for this model wouldn’t have looked as clean. Cut a metal trim plate to cover the gaps the new unit leaves and modify your existing door to allow exhaust to escape. Great buy, would recommend!

I replaced a 6 gallon tank heater with this and an 18" × 15" door. I have only tested it in my driveway. But it seems to work really well. After it senses water flow you can turn the flow down more than the description says to save water without it turning off. Good for when you don't have hookups. I will be taking a trip soon and will update if it doesn't work well during regular use. But it should work good. It did during all my testing. I started and stopped it many times. Perfect every time. It will be nice not to have to shower so quickly. And for the other person to not have to wait 20 minutes to take their shower.
