I installed these heaters over Memorial Day weekend and waited until spring to post a review so I could see how they did. I put 2 of these on each of my 40gal holding tanks because they're very flat and wide. 2 pads covered them pretty well and I couldn't be more pleased with how they performed. Although this winter was mild overall I saw some very cold snaps, the coldest reaching 12 below zero with some fairly strong winds. My camper wasn't skirted but I do have an enclosed underbelly which presses up against the bottom of the heating pads. Not once did my holding tanks freeze, I was able to use my plumbing normally all winter. I was a bit nervous when they forecast temperatures below -10 but it ended up not being a problem at all.I removed the plugs and hardwired them but unless you're experienced and qualified to work on 120v wiring I'd leave that to a professional, last thing you want is to burn down your RV. In my case I ran the wiring to switches for each tank and a central, waterproof plug like you'd find on small pop ups or boats. I can just plug a standard extension cord in to my power pedestal or an outlet on the camper and the other end connects to the shore power port.

We’ve had these on our camper for 3 months now. While inspecting it this weekend I noticed all 4 were puffy in the middle and one of them had actually separated. The adhesive comes off the elements and then air or wind can get between them. The one that is bad I tired to take off, but the only thing that came off was the outer layer and element. The backing will not come off the tank. So now I’m stuck with 4 heating pads that have never been used that are falling apart and technically won’t come off the tanks. This is bad workmanship and they should have never separated like they did. Major fire hazard if something was to get stuck between these like dried leaves or grass in the fall when you go to use them. I’d stay away from there.

We ordered two. One seemed to work well and the other was so so. By the time we realized this they were very much stuck onto our tanks.

I have a cabin outside Canon City, Colorado at 7,200 ft. I use this to keep my batteries warm in the winter months. I have a row of eight 3.2v batteries connected in series to provide a 24v battery bank. I stuck this to one side of the row of batteries. Then plugged it into a timer controller set to come on at 6am and shut off at 4pm. This is then plugged into a WiFi outlet that I can remotely turn off if needed. This ensures that during the day the batteries are warm enough to be charged (above 32 degrees). This only uses 80 watts, so it's efficient. So far it has all worked flawlessly. I would recommend this heating pad.

Kept our rv grey water tank warm enough to prevent freezing all through winter in occasional well below zero temps. Did not keep the tank warm enough when driving through 15°- 20° temps all day, but did not take long to thaw out. Easy to install, very good adhesion to the grey water tank.
