I bought this to block off my rear AC pipes as they were rusting somewhere at the back, researched all over the Internet and found ppl raving about Dorman blockers, although not sold in the UK, I paid for delivery from the US and the long delivery wait, so I bought the smaller size for the smaller pipe and that came with a thick rubber bit, this one came with a thin rubber bit, got it fitted, followed instructions, unfortunately, no matter how I fitted them, it would look good with no leaks for a few seconds, then the bubbles start showing. I'm extremely disappointed with this bit, again, the smaller one of the same brand worked perfectly fine, no leaks what so ever, only this large one with the thin rubber bit leaked. I am now searching again for a blocker that will do the other half of the job... again, not blaming the brand, just this particular blocker didn't work! Other people say it has worked for them.. I'm not sure if their cars had a different size pipe maybe..

After my van developed a leak somewhere in the rear evaporator coil I ordered a blockoff kit. Unfortunately the 3/4" connection was completely stripped by an evidently unsuccessful ac technician. This blockoff allowed me to cut the line and block it off with 100% success. Time and money saver!!

I used these to block off the rear AC of my 12' E350 van. I found where the line splits and within 12" of the T, I cut the lines. I had a local shop evacuate the A/C system before I cut the lines and they did a vacuum test before pressurizing it again. The A/C has been blowing cold ever since! Very happy with this blocker. I used thread locker on the threads and some PAG 46 refrigerant oil to lube up the o-rings to ensure a great fit. I also used torque wrenches to ensure I didn't over tighten the bolts. The hardest part was getting the right diameter fitting.

Brought a 95 chevy g20 van with rear ac leaks back from the dead. Make sure you use a quailty tube cutter, debur the ends and clean out any debris. I like to use a mini shop vac. Install as close to the compressor as possible on the suction line, and as close to the condenser T on the liquid line. Clean the outside of the tube, I use copper wool. Lubricate the tube with the oil your system uses, pag46, pag150, etc. Lubricate the green rubber seal thoroughly. Do not overtighten these, it only calls for 18 ft pounds, the threads don't hold the pressure the green seals do. I installed these in a few hours, vaccumed system down, closed valves for an hour and had no vaccumm rise. Recharged and injected oil loss, the system is running fine and they are holding great. How long they will hold, I don't know. But it should buy you some time for a season or two. I always recommend pinch brazing the tube ends if you want to permanently block off the rear ac.
