This unit replaced an older transformer for low voltage LED lighting. It seems to be well made and connecting it to the existing wiring was easy. I have two lines. Network setup was straightforward, connect to device network then to house network. Downloaded the app on my phone and I was able to setup a lighting schedule. It's been installed for a week now with no issues. If I have an issue I will update this post. In short, I recommend this transformer.

I purchased 2 of these transformers. One for the backyard lights and another for my front yard. While the software is primitive to say the least and not at all intuitive or user friendly, I was able to connect them both to my router and program on/off times. I’m an engineer and a bit of a gadget person which probably gave me a leg up in getting these transformers to work as intended. While I’ve only had them for a couple of weeks both seem to be working just fine. I used the 14v outputs on both transformers since my connection lines are long and lights will “blink” due to voltage drop if connected to 12v. I love the fact that I can control them from my iPhone. One of the transformers sits in a cozy location in my garage, the other transformer is attached to my backyard fence. I read one review that said they had an issue with rust. Too soon for me to know if that will be an issue since it’s summer time in CA when there’s no rain whatsoever.Net net: so far so good. I’d have rated these devices higher had the software been more user friendly.

I bought this for our island home to light up the palms and I love it! Easy to set up and the eco app has been a blessing to control from across the nation and reset based on sunrise and sunset. Best thing is it is hurricane proof! Ian had the island submerged 9 feet and the transformer sat in there for hours! The wires corroded but I just cut back the wires and reconnected and it works great! I did have to replace all the plugs to the lights but even their lights came back on once I striped the wires and replaced the plugs! I am buying another 300 for my main residence!

Original had the 200W installed, then I added more and more lights. So I upgraded to the 300W. The app on the 300W - Eco Plugs is much more difficult to use and navigate. I never use the apps anyways once tied to Alexa. However I did not know the different apps going into it which sucked. Then you must select a setting in the Eco app or it will not link with Alexa, another delay. Could be a lot more user friendly but in the end it does work.

I have bought three of these over the last few months, for different zones of my outdoor lighting. The first two use the Dewenwils app, which seems to work fine. The one i just got uses the ECO app which doesn't seem to find the device at all. I also tried finding the new unit on the Dewenwils app and connecting it but that didn't work either. Why are there two different apps? And how do i get the new unit to connect to the Dewenwils app?

Device is solid and can be turned on off using the soft button front. The app didn’t load on my newer iPhone but loaded just fine on my older iPad. Once loaded on the iPad I was able to copy info to iPhone. There are Manual setup options as well. Great price for functionality.
