So this comes with everything you need to operate this . It heats up the liquid and dispense it into the air slowly. There is no smoke. The Repeller has three setting that are on, on with night light and off. Yes is works. The chemical it uses is Meperfluthrin which is not where in the product description. I like to know before hand what I am breathing in so I don't like that it was a mystery until this product arrived. I think it's important to list ingredients especially with chemicals. Meperfluthrin is regulated by the EPA it is a pyrethroid insecticide. It has a low toxicity rating. The box says Meperfluthrin at 0.8%, The box also says "It is refined with unique natural herbs as the main raw materials". If so what those? This leaves me in the dark.

This mosquito repeller actually does a good job at keeping bugs away. I’ve been using it in my kitchen and haven’t had to swat at anything since I plugged it in. It’s simple to use, and the included refill lasts a long time, which is a plus. That said, the build feels a little flimsy. It’s lightweight and plastic, so I wouldn’t want to drop it or knock it over too hard. Also, it only works when plugged in, which limits placement if you don’t have outlets nearby. One helpful tip is to connect it to a power bank if you're using it in a spot without an outlet, like a patio table or while traveling. That worked really well for me.Overall, it’s a solid option if you want a no-spray solution to mosquitos indoors. Just handle it gently and you’ll be happy with it.

This appears to work. I have it on my covered, screened in patio. Although it is screened, sometimes mosquitoes get in and then it is hard to get them out again. I had at least one in there and after leaving this plugged in for a while, it is no longer there. I think this took care of it! I wish this unit was rechargeable. It is challenging finding a good spot near an outlet. Other than that, I would say it is a good buy. Be aware that you will have to buy refills when it runs out. I just looked up the cost of refills and they are $14.99 for two bottles on Amazon (today’s price).

This machine can excel in some situations. It's an effective repellent, and the replacement liquid is not hard to find. I have a portable AC that exhausts hot air outside onto my patio. So I'm able to have the AC draw the repellent air out and mosquito-proof my house and patio at the same time, and I'm able to do it without using incense or candles. It doesn't take much power to run this device, so most any solar panel or power bank with a USB output will do. So this is also a decent repellent for camping and emergency situations. Just be aware that this device has a proprietary cable design. Don't lose the original cable! The only thing I'd change about this is to give it an onboard battery. It's decently compact, but could still fit a pretty big battery.
