My PC was having issues recognizing flash drives. This unit corrected that problem. Now it not only detects flash drives, but also MMC cards. Delivery was fast.

Among my first 3 purchases on Amazon. Based on price, was not expecting much. Product is great - i have 4-5 items plugged-in at any time (cell, tablet, headphones, usb-key/s, sd-card/s,...) and my computer recognizes all of them. All the items are accessible for R/W and power. Would buy again but only really need one.

When this product arrived, it had been stuffed into a small package and the USB connector had been bent. I could not straighten it and when I plugged it into a USB port on my laptop, it would lose connection, would read, then lose the connection. I couldn't ever get it to accept a new file on any of my USB, micro, or mini storage devices. The tool was a nice looking and I expect a valid unit, but the packaging on mine had bent the USB connection port rendering the device un-usable. My rating is specific to my device.

I've been using this for nearly a year, now about twice a week thanks to all the COVID19 Zoom meetings. It allows me to plug in my laptop fan, external speakers and external mic. I have no issues with crackling from poor wires, and the cord looks strong and intact after a lot of in and out from a drawer. I've used the SD card and USB slots for data transfer with no issues. I would recommend this to anyone looking for expansion capacity for USB and memory card diversity. It probably is best used in one location and not lugged around in a backpack because I don't think it's intended for that level of wear and tear.
