Had to do an internet search to find out what exactly it did, and how to use it.It is used to measure the gap between the actuating piston on your vehicles brake booster and the piston on your vehicles master cylinder.The tool is nicely machined and should work on most master cylinder / brake booster combinations.As long as the legs fit around the openings.I would rate it as really nice to have when needed and it works faster and easier than the other methods.It is not strictly necessary as there are other methods to achieve the same result.We used to use a bit of Plasticine to ensure that there was a bit of gap.
