Read all the reviews, ordered it. It is tricky to line up the holes when mounting equipment, but I got through it ok. I did NOT over tighten the frame bolts and it feels very solid. For the money it's a decent stand. Would recommend.

came together very easy and seems like it will last. just remember to read the instructions and take your time. two caveats: this company makes two rolling stands. this one, and one with space for a speaker or amp at the bottom. i got the instructions for the latter but bought the former. just meant there were some steps i didn't need to follow but it's super obvious if you just look at the pictures. the only other problem is this doesn't have standard rack rails, you need special parts for the screws to go in and there aren't enough! easy to get more but i've only got seven racks and there weren't enough. might as well order more now.

This rack is sturdier than you might think. It is relatively easy to assemble and there were no major flaws. I doubt it could stand up to multiple power amps or other super heavy equipment, but it handles a large mixer, probably 8u (takes up the entire top), a 800 watt Peavey power amp, a Furman power conditioner, 3 other relatively light 1u units, and 1 2u unit. It is showing no signs of buckling. If this were going to be moved often, I might consider changing the casters because of the weight load. There are not enough screws to mount this much equipment, so buy a pack if you do not already have some. You will need cage bolts and screws. The shipping was late, but this was an Amazon problem and does not reflect on the rack.

BE SURE to check the "ship in Amazon box" option when ordering this item prime/FBA (fulfillment by amazon) as the manufacturer's packaging is TERRIBLE and parts will be falling out and potentially missing.THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING stand for the price, and competes with DJ stands at $400 and more. We got the 12 U (referring to the front rack mounts) model, which wonderfully includes an additional potential 16 units on the "mixer" top. NOTE: this is mislabeled as a "mixer stand" on amazon and is actually a wonderful DJ stand with multiple uses. You can see in our picture that we're using this as a light controller (DMX 512) unit, with two 12 bank controllers (OTB or out of the box-computer, meaning hardware controllers) on the top, with a shelf for an ITB (in the box) DMX 512 freeware program on a laptop. In addition, on the front, we've got a light amp on the very bottom (1,000 watt Behringer-- stand is not stable enough to put a heavy amp anywhere, but surely not above the bottom roller stand for extra support), an LED sound activated light strip, a patch bay, and a rack mounted power strip-- all light!NOTICE that as you face this unit forward, anything you mount on the front will be the "wrong" direction, in that you'd have to go around and face your audience or stage to make adjustments, so things like patch bays, power strips etc. that don't require adjustment after initial set up work best. This is only to say you can face it either way, we'll try to upload photos of both, in case you want your LED strips facing the audience, for example as a DJ. If you do use the top "mixer stand" for rack mounts, don't forget to leave room for front facing power and cords. This is perfectly stable for light to medium duty. No heavy amps, otherwise, very strong and well built. Note also that some units (the 12 U in particular) comes PURPOSELY MISSING two support brackets. They ARE listed in the parts list, but there is a small footnote in the very sparse directions that mention support bars differ by model. This is one reason there are so many negative reviews about missing parts; the other is the aforementioned terribly loose box. If you buy this from the marketplace instead of amazon, buyer beware as amazon gives the option of an outside box, which will contain any rails that do attempt an escape in transit.Outstanding buy, wish it was listed under rack mounts instead of just "mixer stands" and more of us would find it! Minus one star for the packaging only, 5 stars for the unit itself, REALLY VERSATILE!

I wanted a rollable stand for my mixer that I use for kareoke. For this purpose it works great. The rack itself is pretty light weight. Thin square tubing. Paint quality is good. There's some bending of the edges of the rack holes due to shipping damage, but it didn't bother me. It does come with a small pack of rack screw and nuts so you don't have to buy any. The top has a range of tilt, it's slotted so it's not infinitely ajustable. It does lock securely in place. Overall it's a nice, lightweight rack. Not the sturdiest thing ever, I probably would get something a bit heavier if I'm to mount heavy amps. But for my use it's really good.
