These are great if you're looking for a 2ru vented spacer. They don't perform well in other applications however

It is what you would expect. It fits. The vent openings are large enough for me to see the mess underneath my console. The three stars are because, although mine arrived well packaged, there is a scratch on it, a scratch that goes right through the nice black finish and a scratch that could not have been made through the packaging. This means that quality control is lacking. I bought this new, it should be free of defects.

Bought it Wednesday early in the day, paid for over night shipping..Guess what, it's still not here!! The Amazon rep said Saturday at the latest, even though my tracking said end of day Thursday. Stay away from the product if your on a deadline like I am. Pay a little more and get it when you need it. I'm seriously reconsidering my Amazon Prime membership. Be certain I will be talking about this on my radio and broadcast show! NOT HAPPY!

These vents are constructed with purpose providing great additional rigidity because of the rolled lip construction. They are finished with a tuff coating that will stand the rigors of component reconfigurations. The vertical slates provide good visual masking of wiring along with some degree of sound attenuation and they also exhibit good ventilation characteristics. These can provide reliable additional protection of road abused rack setups. They can also serve in server rack configurations.

This is a standard 2 space rack vent. It is well made and painted black; not much else to say. This vent has a relatively small percentage open area, so it might not be the best for venting hot cabinets, but will certainly allow some air flow. Obviously the picture shows two vents, but you're only buying the top one (2 space)
