Used this for my 10+ year old Lexus. Dealer wanted to charge $400+ to replace the hood shocks (or whatever you call the things that keep the hood upright when you open it ), but this works perfectly for less than $10. Plus its the exact color of my car.

The site item was ideal as a prop lock for hood rams and hatch rams. Until you can get around to fix them , carry them in my vehicle glove box just for such an emergency nice item
