These seemed good at first; easy install and more than capable of holding the weight of the hatch, but one side failed after only two months. Based on the positive reviews for this product, I could’ve just been unlucky enough to get a bad one, but would recommend looking at other options.

They fit. They work at least as well as the OEM struts. But the best part: the installation instructions are printed directly onto the struts! If you look at the instructions and do them in reverse, the old struts pop right off. Then follow the simple instructions and the new struts are on. I replaced both struts on the rear hatch of my wife’s Veloster in under five minutes. The only tool I needed was a small screwdriver to loosen the retaining clips.

I have a 2016 Veloster Turbo and the stock supports barely held up the trunk. After I added my wing, even though it's carbon fiber and doesn't weigh much the stock supports were pretty much useless. I bought these after looking at several options and I'm very glad I did. They were very easy to install, I did it myself, and they are way stronger than the stock supports. Now there is no effort to open the hatch, it raises pretty much by itself, and they could support much more weight if needed. I am very happy with the purchase. If I knew they were going to perform like this I would have replaced the stock supports the day I bought the car. I'm not sure why Hyundai wouldn't make a better support to begin with. These supports are what should be on the car from the factory. Thanks for a great product!

Took about 10 minutes, and a flat blade screwdriver to install.Use the flat blade to pry the clips off the old struts, and remove them from the ball-ends on the car and trunk lid, and the new struts just snap on (without removing the clips).Works as good as new.
