While they were the right size and fit I find they are weak and are slow to lift the tailgate. When these fail, and I'm almost certain it won't take long, I'll buy a different brand.

When our Dodge Caravan hatch door stopped opening I thought it was going to cost a fortune to fix. Not only was it affordable, it was easy. In under ten minutes (maybe under 5, but who's counting?) both sides were installed. Our door was higher that we expected when open as our old one must have been wearing out for a while. It is nice to have the extra head space.

So I thought mine were beginning to show signs of giving up. They were quite slow on lifting the gate….well these new ones didn’t seem any stronger. I read some reviews that commented that they were really strong. I’m keeping my old ones just incase. I guess I was expecting more. At least the cost is less.

These installed easily and are exactly the right strength for the hatch on my Grand Caravan - if I lift the tailgate more than 30%, it will lift itself to full height. When I want to close it, it doesn't take much effort - could do it with a single finger.Note: I've only just installed them, so can't comment on their longetivity. If they fail within the next year or so, I'll alter this review to note that.

Easy to install but the lifts are not strong enough to support the van door. Very dissatisfied. I replaced both sides and they do not work. Don’t buy these.
