These fit the trunk lid for my dad's 1998 BMW 528i sedan. He said they fit like OEM.I will update if they fail quickly.

Hood struts work perfect. Trunk struts do no work they are trash. Ordered oem bmw ones

even with the screw adjustments, the tailgate struts are too long. I tried sitting on one of the struts, it didn't even move. unless you are 300lb, there is zero chance to install this.
