Blue Light Explained
Macular Degeneration Blue light (HEV) penetrates all the way to your retina and has been shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that are similar to those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Many eye care professionals have concerns that the blue light exposure from digital screens might increase a person's risk of macular degeneration later in life.
Digital Eye Fatigue Short wavelength, high energy blue light scatters more easily than other visible light and makes it not as easily focused. When you're looking at your digital screen that emit significant amounts of blue light, this unfocused visual light reduces contrast and can contribute to digital eye strain.
Sleep Disruption Blue light is very important in regulating circadian rhythm - your body's natural wakefulness and sleep cycle. Exposure to blue light during daytime hours helps maintain a healthful circadian rhythm. But too much blue light late at night can disrupt this cycle, causing sleepless nights and daytime fatigue. People who use their electronic devices before bed have a harder time falling and staying asleep.
Why Not Block All Blue Light?
It's well documented that some blue light exposure is essential for good health. Research has shown that high-energy visible light boosts alertness, helps memory and cognitive function and elevates mood.
In fact, something called light therapy is used to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD) โ a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons, with symptoms usually beginning in the fall and continuing through winter. The light sources for this therapy emit bright white light that contains a significant amount of HEV blue light rays.

I have been used my blue ray glasses but that is not convenience and leaving marks besides my nose due to regular use, and hence I ordered these sheets. I donโt feel like there is any difference with these sheets or without. I am planning to return this, but I am not sure whether I can do that because the sheets already been used.

Iโm not very happy with this product. I was waiting for this to come in the mail and I put all of the screen protectors on my computers, just to find out that they donโt work at all. There is NO difference. I needed these because I get dizzy from the blue light and now I canโt work like I was expecting to because these did not help at all. Very unsatisfied

If it actually blocks or reduces blue light, then itโs a great product. I love the matte finish as well.So far I cut and put one on my fiancรฉโs 14โ laptop. 2 very tiny bubbles (will always happen with bigger screens), but other than that, flawless.For reviewers complaining about bubbles and such, they just didnโt do a good job at applying it ...applying a large sheet to a laptop screen is like putting on 6 cell phone screen protectors at the same time. Itโs not easy. And if you get bubbles, itโs NOT the productโs fault. Thatโs the fault of the person who is applying the film!Spend time prepping your screen, and cut to size (doesnโt need to be perfectly straight, my borders are a little wavy but hardly noticeable. Just make sure your protector doesnโt protrude past the screenโs borders which will cause bubbling with any film application. Most importantly, before the application, use a sticker to de-dust the screen a final time.EASTER EGG: the product is nice and big so after I cut it, I put left overs on 2 cellphones, and it is excellent!!! Bubbles come out quite easily as long as they are not dust bubbles. Phones came out flawless after good surface prep.5/5; would recommend. High quality.Just do a good job applying it. That goes for any brand film you buy.Only thing was that the sticker was not provided for dust removal whereas the instructions said it was included. But that wonโt knock off a star for me. Great product overall.

I like kits that come with 3 protectors, as I notoriously screw up the first one. The included instruction label on the package states there are 3 total layers to be removed, 2 before application, 1 after. The 2 layers that need to come off before installation do not come off together, and the 2nd of the 2 does not have a removal tab to get it started. So including my issue of needing to cut it down to my screen size precisely, I had trouble with the dual layer removal bit and ended up with static attracting dust debris under the stickum. I now have a bubbly disaster on my screen. The card they include to "squeegie" the protector across the screen is suitable for a cell phone sized screen, but not a 17" monitor, so improvise.
