This is a good quality shade with strong hem stitching. I love it and use this protection with a misting system to effectively lower the heat or the feel of a reduced heat setting. Pretty good shade cloth. Material is as expected, not like a shade sail, but like a shade cloth with a looser weave, depending on the percentage of fibers woven together. I think it will provide shade and I'm particularly happy that this is a gray color and not the black or dark kelly green. The grommets, not the most evenly spaced, but average 19-20 inches apart. One of them is almost 24 inches from corner grommet. The stitch length seems a bit far apart for an outdoor environment that will need more stability for the edges to hold up. I would think think it should be around 3/16 inches length, so less than a quarter inch stitch to really hold. That's just my opinion in my 40+ years of sewing. At any rate I think it's a good shade cloth even with these aspects. I'm using this as porch shade as opposed to higher tension shade sails. I'll attach the cloth at either end posts and spanning four posts, only needing to hook two ends and the top edge, then adjustable lines on the bottom edge to roll it up with paracord when not in use. A big porch wrap, essentially. I think it will work great for this purpose and look nice.

This thing is huge! We have a screened deck on the south side of our house, so it gets pretty warm when the sun shines in during the afternoons. This shade cloth is perfect to keep the sun off of the babies while they are playing. It’s is more of a woven plastic, and while not solid and closely woven, provides adequate shade. You can still see out a bit, but not much breeze gets through. We just put up some hooks above the screen to hang it on (from the grommets all around the edge), and take it down when not needed. I plan to figure out some way to roll it up and secure it above the screen, since it is so big. That will make it much easier to use. But I really love it!

I ordered this shade cloth to replace a worn-out one that I had on my patio that had the same dimensions and basic color.When I received it I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was and that this one looks like it is much higher quality than the worn-out one it is replacing. It is nice and heavy duty and the fabric looks very durable. The seams and grommets look better than my old one as well, which is exactly what I needed, because those are the areas where my old one wore out.By looking it over and feeling the fabric, you can tell this is not a low-quality shade cloth. Those lower-quality shade cloths are easy to spot because the fabric looks very thin and weak. This one has very nice, higher-quality fabric.The grommet placement was almost the same as my old one, so installing it was rather easy and straightforward. As an added bonus, the color of this one matches another shade of cloth I have in another spot in my backyard, so they look uniform and consistent in color, which I like.Based on the quality and value at the price point of this shade cloth, I think that if you are looking for a shade cloth, then this should be a brand to consider.
