I was pleased to receive two of these sacrificial anode rods.They are shorter than my current anode but as I got 18 years from my longer unit I imagine that these will see me out.They appear to have a sturdy joint between the rod and the securing nut and the included thread tape should prevent any leakage during the season.When I winterize my unit I usually give the rod a quick scrub with a wire brush to clean it up ready for use next season.I suggest that you remove the anode rod each winter - just a suggestion but that's what I do

This had 1/2” threads with about a 4” rod. I mistakenly ordered this without verifying the side of my anode rod, which had 3/4” threads and was about 12” in length. So unfortunately I did not get to use this with my RV, but I can say, when compared side by side, the materials used looks to be on par for what you’d expect from manufacturer anode rods.
