The description reads that it's more for aesthetic type purposes. Doing any sort of brows or other things. But we found that it works well for crafting needs. Especially when you really have to see a tremendous amount of detail to get things right. Unlike cheaper lights that are not sturdy or durable, this one is built well and seems rugged enough to withstand constant handling. You have a good brightness to the light, the overall size is sufficient for our needs, and there's a proper weight balance to it. Also useful if you need to read fine print on something. So useful reading ability if you have to read something.

This five-wheel floor lamp magnifying glass with light is an excellent tool for both professional and home use. It’s large, sturdy, and provides a very bright light, making it ideal for tasks that require precision and clarity. The inclusion of a clamp is a thoughtful touch, offering flexibility to use it with the rolling base or attach it to a surface for added stability.The only downside is the light’s cool white color, which has a very blue tone. While I personally would prefer an adjustable color temperature for versatility, the cool white light is likely better suited for professional environments where clarity and detail are crucial.Overall, this is a high-quality product that’s perfect for professional use and great for detail-oriented tasks at home. If you don’t mind the fixed cool white light, I highly recommend this magnifying lamp!

This is so much better than I thought it would have been!The magnifying glass is a massive 4.9 inches across!The glass has no scratches or damage at all! - I was quite impressed with this because it was shipped during a 'rough' shipping season! Lot's of packages and running out of time to deliver!This is very well packed with shipping Styrofoam cradling the mirror and the metal legs, base, and arm!The power cod is a decent length- in my opinion. I don't need to roll it too far from my workstation to put out of the way.This also comes with a clamp so instead of attaching it to the roller base with the tall/long stand, you can attach it directly to your desk or workstation!The base has 5 long arms with wheels on the ends of each. It is this large in circumference to keep it steady when the arm is extended! This is a very long boom arm with the large magnifying glass at the end.The metal is coated in a Black Matte powder paint that is rust-free.I did not like the fact that I had to fight with the caps on the ends of the metal tubes to get rid of the plastic. The plastic-bag covered metal parts had the bolts wheels and end caps applied on top of the plastic.I had to fully take these apart just to remove the plastic. This is the only problem I had with it!This way very easy to put together and everything you need (the wrench) is included!It is taped to the bottom of the base that the wheeled arms attach to!I hadn't realized this and went hunting down my tool box! - That was buried in the back of the last closet I checked, and took me several hours to find!I turned the round base hub upside down to like up the bolt with the hole and there was the wrench! Taped safely on!So it DOES come with all of the tools you will need to put this together!This is a very good magnifying glass and very bright ring light!This is 1500 Lumens when turned all of the way up.The light can be adjusted via the on/off dial on the back of the light ring!And the wheels roll smoothly across my rooms carpet!

A magnifying light is a great addition to any hobbyist workspace, especially when working with small electronics and parts. This lamp does the job and has a few nice features to boot. The light is very bright and has an adjustable dimmer. The light and magnifying glass are mounted to an articulating arm with two pivot points, and the light also has a lockable ball joint so that the lamp can be adjusted at various angles.This lamp has two mounting options, which may be limited depending on your use case. The kit comes with a roller stand (assembly required) or a desk clamp. I wasn’t crazy about the roller stand because you couldn’t extend the arm to its fullest extent, or it would tip. This should have been designed with counterbalances in the stand to extend the arm fully. You can add weights to the stand, but that’s a workaround. The table clamp option works well if you have a table that will accommodate it. Unfortunately, my desk didn’t have a big enough lip to mount the table clamp, so I ended up drilling an ½ inch hole in the desk so that it could be used in my working space. The lamp arm can be moved between the desk clamp or roller stand or, in my case, my desktop. The arm ends in a ½ inch rod that inserts into either mounting option. Both mounts have a screw that threads into the arm end; however, doing so will prevent it from swiveling at the base.Operation of the arm is simple. The arms use internal springs to provide tension and retraction. The springs are silent; however, my arm had metal pieces at the midpoint joint that rubbed and made an awful screeching sound. To remedy that issue, I used general-purpose automotive grease (the kind used on door hinges) to eliminate the screeching. Again, this is another workaround. I also noticed that the power cable, which is mostly internally routed in the arm, also rubs on the midpoint joint. The metal's edge is sharp enough to remove the rubber sheath on the cable. Again, to remedy this problem, I added some harness tape. However, I will have to replace the tape over time and use.For infrequent use, as in my case, this is a great lamp. While I had to implement workarounds, the mounting issues were mostly due to my setup; however, the rubbing parts and unbalanced stand are issues that make this lamp questionable for long-term professional use. At the given price point and market comparables, it’s a bargain as long as you are aware of the caveats and able to implement workarounds, such as I did.
