I highly recommend it.
- It is not easy to rust and corrode, so you can use it with peace of mind.
- It is more durable than ordinary heating elements made of stainless steel.
- Heats evenly so you can use hot water whenever you want.

I'm pleased with this RV water heater element. It fit my Suburban water heater and it works. My old element was burnt up, and this got us back up and running with hot water again. It was easy to replace and it functions well. Only time will tell how long it'll last, but it's inexpensive and it works, so I'd say that it's a good value for the money. I'd buy it again.Recommended.

Got this to build a test jig for my RV repair business. An RV water heater element is typically rated at 1400-1500 watts, with most spec'ed at 1440. At 1440 watts and 120 volts, this would equate to a 12A draw. At 120V and 12A, the resistance would then be expected to be 10 ohms. They are typically spec'ed at between 9.5 and 10.5. I measured this one, and it was exactly 10.0 ohms. Right down the middle. It has the standard terminals for connecting the element wires. The overall length is 11", of which 10" is inserted into the tank. This would work in any normal RV water heater, and long as the tank has room for a 10" insertion length. All standard RV water heaters use the same 1440W rated element.Removal requires a 1-1/2" socket. Be aware, they make a special socket for this, that has a flat face. Most sockets have a sloped surface that goes into the well before the actual flats of the points start. This means most sockets will only have the smallest surface to grab on the element, and can easily strip the element. Your mileage may vary if you don't have the socket made specifically for this purpose.Element is marked as 120CAV and 1440W and matches what I measured. Can speak to lifespan yet, but so far, I can't find a reason why this element is different from any other.
