Fitment of Rear Hatch Struts Lift Support

Installation of Rear Lift Gate Strut
- Keep the tailgate door open on max height, remove inner trim panel.
- Unplug plug, use tool to loose old spherical joint, insert new one.
- Plug liftgate plug, recover inner trim panel.
- Use diagnostic scanner to clear error code, clear if show negative/occasional; replace lift struts if show permanent.
- Confirm L/R mark on struts before install
Methods to Active Tailgate Remote Function
- Push the trunk close button.
- Close the tailgate by hand slowly and push the trunk open button.
- Use diagnostic scanner to reset control module and push trunk close button.

My Pathfinder's power liftgate would open 2 cm and then close immediately whenever we triggered the power open. Replacing both the struts worked like a charm and now it feels like we have a brand new feature on the car! After replacing both struts it was important to reset the liftgate system by holding down the button on the liftgate itself until you hear multiple beeps. This allows the computer to calibrate it's system with the new struts correctly.

I bought these after another seller sent me the wrong ones. These fit our 2013 Pathfinder Platinum. Stud hole were correct, wireless longstanding connector correct. These work perfectly. With ours once installed he had to manually close then the buttons worked. Have the same feel and weight as OEM with a fraction of the cost.
