An extremely bright light kit can be purchased separately to increase step visibility in low-light situations. They are provided with UV-resistant molded polymer step pad which will not fade or crack under harsh conditions. The board is 4-1/2" wide and has a length of 69" with vehicle-specific mount kits.

the mount kit has been discontinued, so unless you already have it don't bother buying it. Amazon shouldn't be selling this when the accompanying part is discontinued, too bad because these steps look like great quality

Really like them. I'm able to get in & out of my "Rav 4" without difficulty now. We purchased the mounting kit as well & our mechanic installed them. Saved $300 by doing it this way!

I decided I needed running boards for my SUV and reviewed different running boards on line, deciding this was a good choice. Order came quickly. Husband thought he could put them on at first, but after reading the instructions and looking under the vehicle, we realized we would need to drill a hole for the last bolt, and he didn't have a drill bit near that big. With the snow and the cold weather, we decided it would be easier to have a professional install them. It cost about 150 for their work, they did a great job. I was relieved that the boards didn't stick out too far. I thought it was a very good deal, and the boards feel very sturdy. It's not necessarily easy to install yourself unless you are real handy in a garage and have the right tools. But I was very pleased with my purchase.

I installed them last week on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. They look great! They work very well, built strong and are mounted solid. I used 27-1975 mounting brackets, ordered separately. The brackets are sturdy and mount with not too much effort. Need to re-drill the pinch weld holes to 3/8" on the car body. They seem to keep the rocker panels cleaner from road dirt and splash. Now my wife can get into the vehicle with some ease.

I am not new to working on cars. I bought these running boards for my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee becuase they match the theme of the Jeep well and they are made of nice material. I do really like the look of them and they should last for a long time. However, the installation of the mounting brackets was horrible. There was a lot of drilling required to get the brackets to line up with the pinch welds. Getting the bolts in on the rear driver's side was almost impossible. I actually had to jack up the jeep by that bracket in order to get the 2 bolts through the holes in the pinch weld. I am guessing that the bracket was defective, or just made out of spec.

Good looking running boards. Very strong and added alot of protection to the rocker panels and doors from rocks, salt and mud that comes off the tires.

Good product, easy installation overall. Plan on about 2 hours. Looks great when completed.Finding the holes for the front most mounting bracket takes time. The holes are covered on the RAV4 so it takes some poking around. As for installing a couple of the bolts, they took time and patience. A bolt on the end of a metal stick that has to be threaded through a hole that is not big enough for me to get two fingers through took some patience. Other than laying on my back and staring at the underside of the RAV4 with not much clearance just takes time. The parts were easy to assemble once you got to where they needed to go.Tried to order these same running boards through other places and they were in stock one minute and not the next. Found out after ordering and having the order canceled a few days later that the parts were never really in stock. Be warned Auto Parts Warehouse has about 15 affiliate companies that are all about the same. And their support is terrible.Typical Amazon order process. They say they have it in stock and you have it at your house in less than a week. No hassles, no canceled order.I recommend the running boards but only if you purchase from Amazon.
